Anyone know when medical marijuana dispensaries started showing up in California? What year approximately?

probably in 96 when prop 215 passed i think i got the yr right but i dont know for sure~

Yes, it was in 1996 prop 215. I remember a medical pot club there in Santa Cruz California that was already dispensing before we actually did the march
to city hall before the vote. And even months before that a cannabis club
was opened in San Francisco and dispensing. Back then they were called clubs
and I was a member. Those were the good ol days.

We would hang out with Dennis Peron, Scott Imler, Dr. Tod Mikuriya ect.
Those guys were the founding Fathers of the now medical cannabis
dispensaries. Dr. Tod was my personal Dr. and I got my first medical
cannabis script from him.
