Air freshener filter test ? I can still smell it :/ [Archive] - Green Grass Forums

Well heres my setup.. Ive put the filter how I see most people have it in a closet.. [no other room unless I stand it up lower or in the top corner. The room is pretty well sealed. Im passively pulling cooler room air thru 4" hole at bottom front.. near window.. temps are fine all day but if I spray freshener in there and close it.. smell the exhaust.. I can still smell it.. :( it is venting out the house through an airbrick and Im up high so it dont matter... but why isnt the filter working? is it the length of duct and the fan speed too high or low or fan too small etc?

Fan is RVK 5"
Light 600 watt

So what was the problem? That's a lot of bends you have there. Was it an air leak in the vent duct? That is a common source of odor problems.
