my grow partner sprinkled blood meal and some other organic powdered nutrients over the soil to our plants and watered them in with mychorrhizae about a week ago saying that the nutrients would break down with the mychorrizae.
well ive been watering in daily and have noticed a fungus looking build up since then.
is it common practice for growers to do this? and why am i seeing a funguse build up around my plants where this stuff went in?

I use blood for pure nitrogen and trace elements and bone meal for root food and the other stuff helps colonize the soil with fungus that helps the roots pickup moisture and food.
What color is the fungus and does it look like the nasty stuff that grows in a too wet environment?

Hmmm, that isn't good. Drop your humidity if possible and back off watering until the soil dries. You may want to transplant into some other soil.

thank you for the response gordo. this i by no means meant to offend you but where are all the old rulers of this forum? like rhizome and stinkyattic... whenever i had an issue i could ask a question i would get an answer from someone with a proven resume that i could look into and trust in.
again im not sayin that to offend you gordo, i just miss all the familier names i would come across on the board

Well flikr, i think i had told ya that in the past year, i haven't seen any mods around. Its been the regulars that keeps the site going as far as rules and stuff thats not wanted in here. Roc, a mod as chimed in a few threads that got outta hand, but thats it bro:cool:. In the outdoor section there is always a lot of newbies, which could not answer your question and im not giving advise to a method iv never used. But, if i know whats going on, i always try an chime in to help. My buddy puts nutes just under a layer of soil so that the plants roots will grow into, in time. 20 year grower, but i wouldn't use this method. I mix my ferts and feed em, but if i had experience i would have suggested something, and when i do, iv done it or seen it done successfully.
Ya might try advanced techniques:thumbsup:
Good luck man:rasta:

I was hoping one of the experts would chime in too, I'm not offended as compared to the other old timers, I'm still learning.
