First grow. 5 weeks in, how am i doing? tips?

hey, this is my first grow, unfortunatly i dont know what strain it is! think it could be strawberry cheesel though. well im about 5 weeks in from planting the seeds, got a couple in a pot. this is only a test grow to see how its going to do. well ive got a few pictures, let me know what you think and any tips would be awesome!

im thinking its been growing for about 5 weeks since i got the first shoot. so seems to be doing pretty well for the time? im wondering, when do i swich to 12/12 lighting to start flowering? i hope one of the plants will be female! will be gutted if there males because they look so good. but yeah, when should i change them for flowering? and once ive swiched to 12/12 how long till harvest generally? ive read alot of stuff over the years, but i get alot of mixed messages. so to get some comments and instructions from you professionals would be fantastic!

I would go to 12 when you sex them--you should be able to do that now--don't wait too long--or you will be loaded with the dreaded beans !!get the Medical Growers Bible--George will answer your questions on how to's in clear and resonable ways--hope you have many girls there ! Peace !:thumbsup:

thanks for the feedback guys! its much appreciated. downloading the grow bible now :P thanks for that. had a look at my plants but cant really tell sex yet. ill borrow my m8es camera tomorrow, its got amazing macro-zoom lense on it. so ill get some close ups! what bits in particular would you like to see photos of? and how close? saves me uploading loads of photos :P ive had a couple of people tell me now to switch them to 12/12, so i have done :P dark cycle started at 8 tonight, so ill get some photos once the lights come back on at 8 tomorrow morning. not bad plants considering there grown from seeds i got out of a seeded batch of green! :D thanks again!

thanks very much! i feel so proud of this xD haha. just been taking some photos with a Fujifilm S5700 with 10x optical zoom. so these should be much better than the ones ive took up there with my phone! i think im gonna go back to 20/4 cycle again as i dont see the sex of the plant yet and i heard making ur plants flower before they show sex can stress them. will upload a few pics later today =]

Your close up pic of where the pistils should be coming from..... show no indication of sex yet... You may have to force flower for up to 2 weeks to find out sex?

Either that or wait another few weeks to find out before you begin flowering. ;)

Speaking of color...what are you feeding the plants, and what lights are you using?

hey guys, im just back from my holiday, been gone 2 weeks and amazingly my plants survived! 2 of them anyways, i cut one of them down because it was a male. well ive came back to find both my my plants budding at every node. lost most of the fan leaves though because of no water :( im just thankfull they survived! gave them a good watering and they look much happier already! hope they will do ok. but the bits that are startin to bud up are lookin pretty nice :D
