There is another one in Loveland that offers 100 strains of clones - selling cuts off 100 different f1 moms. After my trip to karmaceuticals yesterday, my expectations have been significantly lowered,
before I waste my time... anyone check these guys out? good? bad?
Any know of a quick way to tell if a plant has the PM lying in wait? I know it when I see it, but I also know it can hide dormant and show up weeks later.

meh. they had less than 5 strains.
they were all greasy.
nice guy, said they usually have more.
I'd love to hear about great clone buying / seed gathering experiences :rastasmoke:

I gave up trying to get decent clones from dispensaries. I've even purchased some from some of the places that frequent this board and still have had nothing but troubles. Now the only clones I get are from other growers who I know personally now and allow me to see the mother plant. As far as seeds, I usually get my from Attitude or Seed Boutique - never had a problem with either. Of course now that there are some local shops selling seeds, along with a local seed producer - might have to give some of them a try.

I've had some luck with clones from dispensaries. I've picked some up from grateful meds before that rocked. I'm pretty sure when clones hit their shelves, they are out the door in hours.
the clones I picked up from The Farm look *really* good. The kid at the desk told me most of the clones come from the shop owner, and it looks like he's serious about cleanliness and is aware of common vectors.
where's the cut club? ;)

lots of places do order only now......& your clones never see daylight outside of the growers house.....best way to do it, but its still a guessing game on what your really getting.

We just started carrying Centennial Seeds but haven't had anything come up yet. I'll let you know when I do.

So besides carrying their seeds, you're growing some out too? If so, please keep us in the loop. I've emailed back & forth with them and seem like good people. I was supposed to get a chance to visit their "farm" but it hasn't materialized yet.

We are. When it comes to clones/seeds, we grow everything out to ensure that the genetics are good and if there are any common issues with the plants we can give our patients a heads up. The Pink Pez we have right now is doing amazing.

I have had so much trouble and lost so much product due to Powdery Mildew that I am shutting down for 2 months and starting from seed only. All because of clones from a dispensary. The clones looked pristine when I got them, but little did I know what had entered my grow room. I thought mites were bad.
Now I have to be anal and I will only grow from seed and clone myself and never take in plants from an outside source. And will begin a more intense organic suppression methods. Some lessons are a B****.

Prevention, prevention, prevention. I've had to learn the hard way too!

Grateful Meds: (nederland) All the plants from there were great, it just seems like they never have that many and I am in FoCo so quite a hike for a few plants. Last visit: Mid November
Karmaceuticals (denver): Bought more here than anywhere else, all have been bug and Pm free, very healthy. I have had about 5 out of nearly 50 strains bought from here that were NoFuknGood in terms of yield, potency, or both. The rest I have been pleased with. I am currently using just Karma until something more local or until they let me down. Last Visit: Mid November
Medical Oasis (LVLND): dont bother, there will be about 3 plants with a plant to mite ratio of 1:100,000. Diane is a sweetheart and the guy that runs it...well, lets just say he thinks you can count the trichome heads on a given area, and then math it out by the volume harvested from the plant to determine a "lab tested analysis" of the weed. He also says spectral chromatography is always wrong - while advertising they test all weed. Need I say more...I dont think so. Closing in 6 weeks due to vote. Last Visit: Feb '11, Yesterday
MedicalM (LVLND): Depends. If Tina (owner) is in, and you can talk to her about what you want, it will get done, it will be what you ordered, and will be clean. What you get from her is what is sold in her shop as dry meds - accurate strain and grow descriptions if you talk to her. If you just buy it in the shop it will likely have PM or mites, seen both there before. Closing in 6 weeks due to loveland vote out of dispensaries, may be able to get some clone or plant deals. Last visit: Yesterday
The worst: there is this place in south loveland, in craigslist and backpage alot....says 100+ strains. Jesus this place is awful. CoPoBo, I know I am dropping late to the conversation, but if you never went there, keep it that way. I cant remember the name because they have changed it three times, right across the street from the pet store. Used to be something like Chronic medical care. Mites, PM, thrips...even SCALE! How the fuck do you get scale in CO with our environment, it isnt south florida. ALways a reason, "they just got here from the warehouse and we are gonna treat em" or whatever...dont go here, waste of time and money. The kid they got working there is pretty nice...kinda like a family guy character though, gold chains, baby huey doughboy face, soft pudgy white fingers you know arent gardening. I guess closing as well due to vote, but they have other stores in the state under different names...I do not know them so therefore cant warn you. Its a shame, this guy has names that many of us have not seen in a while, but so beat up you wouldnt want them. Sorry. Last visit: first week of december.
A few others I have bought one or two from, but not enough to accurately and fairly review (Solace, Medicinal Gardens, A+).
Hope this helps some. Seems Grateful Meds gets several nods (including a sound nod from me), and I reiterate my satisfaction for Karmaceuticals.
