Okay so I wanted a little reassurance that the dilution method would work to get me below the threshold so I ordered these at home drug tests.. Amazon.com: THC Marijuana Dip Strip Test Pack of 10: Health & Personal Care (http://www.amazon.com/THC-Marijuana-Strip-Test-10/dp/B0006HJEFO/ref=cm_cmu_pg__header)

Basically one line means positive and two means negative; however, I'm getting no lines repeatedly. I'm sure I'm doing the test right. It says no lines means the test was invalid but gives no further explanation. Do you think maybe my urine is too dilute to register even the control line? (i.e. it thinks it's just water).

Just wondering what you all think before I waste any more of these.

I would say that you got some bad test strips. I have ordered the same ones and never had any problems.

No, over diluting would not effect the test. If you stuck one in a glass of water you would get two lines, the negative result.

If no line appears in the Control region (C region) after 5 minutes, the test kit is defective, or the test wasnt performed properly. Retest using another kit but before doing so, check the expiration date of the kit.

Okay, I did two with two different samples of urine with the same result. Now that I know it wasn't the dilution doing it, I'll try again. (Have to wait till I have to pee haha) Checked the expiration and it's January 2012 on all of em. None of the reviews on Amazon mention this problem, and almost all have had excellent results with them so I doubt it's the strips themselves unless its a bad batch. I guess there's probably a reason they send you 10 for 7 bucks, bound to be a few bad apples in there. I'll let you know what happens on my next couple.

Well, almost on cue I had to pee right after writing that last post. Took one, thought I screwed it up, so I took another with the same sample. Turned out I did it right on both of them this time, and failed both. That was to be expected though as this wasn't a properly diluted sample (nowhere neeear clear like the other times I tried). At least I know they aren't all bad tests and can do a good test tomorrow to see what happens.
