The Barter Faire has taken place place at the same site since the 70's. Traditionally there is a spring barter faire and a harvest barter faire. The spring faire usually took place in June and was much smaller (10,000 people or less) and the Harvest time faire usually takes place in October (around the harvest moon) and draws nearly three times the amount of people. This year they decided to bring the collective conscience into a new theme. Thus the conscience festival is born. I would strongly recommend going if you can. It seems there will be more emphasis on on the arts and minds of creative people rather than the barter system. Real hip hop (sic) and real pharmers all together again
like the happy family we've always been...

I'm not planning on going, but that doesn't mean I won't be there. I am planning however, to go Barter Faire this year.
