Maybe because it's illegal in your state, have you done a through study of the state laws ? As far as I know ,in WA. state you can be a caregiver ( grower,provider) for only one person at a time.HERE,

69.51A.010
Definitions.

*** CHANGE IN 2010 *** (SEE 5798-S.SL) ***

The definitions in this section apply throughout this chapter unless the context clearly requires otherwise.

(1) "Designated provider" means a person who:

(a) Is eighteen years of age or older;

(b) Has been designated in writing by a patient to serve as a designated provider under this chapter;

(c) Is prohibited from consuming marijuana obtained for the personal, medical use of the patient for whom the individual is acting as designated provider; and

(d) Is the designated provider to only one patient at any one time.

So you can grow for yourself, and ONE other MedMj person, that is 30 plants.
Maybe your state is different?
Let's work to decriminalize Cannabis then we can all just grow our own,Or is it all about the $$$$$$$ ?

I know Wa isnt as lenient as Cali but 30 plants is quite a bit. I am not gonna do it but it just seems like an idea ready to be taken advantage of. I just recently got my mmj card so I will be looking to throw my caretaking in hopefully for some good green

In michigan we can have 12 plants for ourselves and be a caregiver (grower) for 4 other patients. 12 plants per patient.60 plants legally. There is a profit to be made and people are doing it.:thumbsup:

You can't grow for yourself and someone else. 15 plants max. No matter what. You will not have a defence if you keep going in the direction you are headed. And that is a real shitty thing to ask, why haven't more people been getting rich off the sick. The answer is there are way too many people getting rich off the sick. Almost every dispensary, how the hell do they justify charging street prices and higher for meds. The whole thing is made to make money. I grow so I know how much it cost once you have got things going. I can get it down to $50 dollars an ounce to produce. So yea

Go for it man.
Growing for yourself is great fun and if you can make a profit, well that's the American way right?
However, beware, it's not as easy as it sounds or as profitable. A quick peruse of any growing books, I recommend Cervantes, and you'll see that's there's a lot more to it that dropping a few seeds in a bucket and trimming up your award winning buds.
Hook up with another grower to get started, that's what I suggest.
Good luck, Primo
