so i started growing a few more plants, just for shits and giggles, nothing commercial. i just used some seeds i found lying around, i call 'em carpet seeds, so i have no idea the strain.
they just started flowering recently. 2 of the 3 are lookin normal, but one has got hairs i've yet to see in anything i've grown.
just out of curiosity, can anyone tell roughly what strain it may be just from pictures?
if not, it's not a big deal, i'm still excited cause it look so awesome.
here it is:

i shall. i'm pumped for the end result myself. never grown tree with pink hairs before, and the fact that it's just carpet weed is intense.
that's a good name though, i'll call it beautiful carpet hahaha

edit: uhhh, shit... no.. i'm a newer grower, i don't even know how to clone O_o

You still may be able to do clones from it. It will take longer as it needs to re-veg and root - perhaps as long as 2 weeks but so long as you keep them under a dome and well moist it isn't out of the question. I recommend the DIY areo-cloner. Easy to make. $40 of materials from Walmart.

Think we may of got our seeds from the same carpet.. LOL... I've only grown three times and this is the first time I have seen the colors like this. Hopefully it turns out great. I just threw some seeds out in my yard and had to dig them up when they started flowering, they are so short. Hopefully they start getting taller. But man yours look so beautiful.... But yours sorta look like red delicious... That's all I can think of..

well i'm not an expert at that sort of thing yet, so if there's any chance i can mess my plant up trying, i'll just live with the fact that i only got the one. i'm growin in a tiny closet anyway, so i probably wouldn't have the space for any more plants as is

you growin 'em indoor now? they'll get taller, it all just depends on the color temp of the lights you're using/how far away you keep the lights from the plants.

i'm on the poor man's budget so i'm stuck with fluorescent lights, but that also allows me to keep the light's only about 2-4 inches from the plants, keeps em stalkier .

...might be one of the strawberry variants. Either way, yeah... CLONE that beautiful girl, and maybe even fig'r out a way to breed her safely later...

Miroku12..... I am using a 75 watt 120 volt halogen light. I have it hanging about a foot and half above them.. That light pumps out some heat. Poor man's budget too... :giggity::giggity:

No way to know what specific variety you have there, but it sure is pretty with the pink pistils. If it gets nice and frosty between now and chop time, you'll know you've got a winner!
At any rate, I'd be looking for more seeds in that carpet... lol

Pink pistils are a recessive genetic trait that comes out in some phenotypes of strains. I have seen a few, mostly on outdoor grows (not to say one causes the other). My guess is given the fact that its a random bag seed, odds are better that it's some kind of F1hybrid between a random male and a female in a huge field. The proof if you have something special will be in the pudding. Have someone do the pepsi challenge for you when the time comes (to avoid the placebo effect).

Most of us don't ever know we are smoking a pink pistil pheno unless we grew it ourselves, since the drying and curing changes the colors yet again.

Agree with everyone that they are pretty flowering, however if you don't get a chance to clone her, i'm sure there's another one out there for you if you keep popping out random seeds. Statistics will make sure

Please keep us posted, I'd love to see what she turns into.

PS- If anyone claims to know your strain they're "sellin ya snake oil".......Unless he happens to be the dude that published the Cannabible, how I envy that path:jointsmile:
