Growing Permit And Guns

I was just going through the threads and someone mentioned you can't put gun ownership on your app for personal growing permt why?I collect guns it's in my blood meaning my family on my Father's side produced guns.Does this mean that if I move to New Mexico I have to get rid of my firearms?I will not part with my VP70Z I need it for protection.

No matter what state you go to firearms and drugs together as far as i know is a big no no.

I have seen no restrictions in the Lynn and Erin Act about gun ownership.
That said,I see no reason to mention guns in your DOH application,since they don't ask about them. Why create problems from nothing but a rumor?
