First timer with a Vapor Tower...What should I do now?

Hi everyone. It took me over a year to save that much money behind Amber's back...but I just purchased a Vapor Tower for my wife, and am wondering if there is anything I should do to the buds before it get's here.

Should we just dry the buds out after harvest, or do I still need to cure it before vaping?
How many hits from one bowl?
How can you tell when there's nothing left to vape?
Is there any visible smoke on the exhale?
Do you toss the vaped product after vaping, or is there still smokable residue?
Is there something I haven't asked that I should ask? We'd really appreciate any other tip's or tricks you might be able to offer, as we've never vaped before. :jointsmile:

Also, will I need to burn-off any manufacturing oils like the Vapor Brothers were kind enough to mention is needed for their competitors Vapor Tower? Pretty cool that this insight was in the comments section of the Vapor Tower's instructional video on U-Tube. This was one of the major reasons that made me decide on the Vapor Tower. VBro's sank too low using those tactics, and I ruled 'them out of the running' as soon as I saw the comments. Good job, VBro's. May your kharma repay you in full. :thumbsup:

I don't have the Vape Tower itself, but I have hit many vapes before.

Harvest the weed in the same way you normally would. You put it in in the same condition that it would be in for smoking any other way.

1 bowl will get you a decent amount of hits, if you pack it fully you will probably get 10-15 minutes worth of smoking(Out of a Silver Surfer at least).

When you get to the end of the bowl you will stop seeing vapor, and it will start to taste a little like burned popcorn.

It depends on how hot you get it. On higher temperatures you will get an okay sized cloud, and on lower temps it just looks like a mist. Either way, not near as much as if you were smoking.

You CAN smoke the vaped weed, but I personally wouldn't. However, do save it as it can be used to cook with.

Only other non-cannabis site vaporizer forum I found was VaporizerForums dot com, but they are just getting started and could use some experienced members to help, I'm guessing.

Not at all that the membership here is inadequate...but when researching I find as many sources of info as possible. I sleep easier doing it this way, lol.

Anyway, I got the Vapor Tower today. Discretely packaged, no breakage. Since it is a gift for my wife, I have to wait till she get's back from her daughters wedding to use it. (next Thursday :cool: )

While I totally understand how your wife could get that impression, that site is still the most comprehensive and informative site in the internet when it comes to vaporizers. Lots of users there own multiple vaporizers as well as the fact that many of the manufacturers are there to provide input and answer questions.

I'm pretty active over there, so if I could help in any way in getting her to feel a bit more comfortable over there, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hey headshake, wazzzup? Starting to warm-up here. Spring seems to be lasting longer than usual, but is going to start reaching the 100's soon.

Appreciate the offer lwein, but the first impression was a lasting one. I had told Amber that I'd spring for the vaporizer, but she had to do the research and find one she would be happy with. Anyway, she told me that it (FC) was too young a crowd, and apparently vulgar language is an issue. (Amber has this thing about repetitive, vulgar language from those unable to properly use nor spell the adverbs) She got some info there, but they sure tempered her enthusiasm. The experience with the website pissed her off and that is unlikely to change. Not sure why. Neither of us are stubborn. :rolleyes:

She found the info elsewhere (I'm not really sure where) and she decided she didn't want the bag type. And since I couldn't afford a Volcano, she (we) decided on the Vapor Tower. So far I think she chose wisely. Pretty cool looking, went with the burgundy one. Needs a varnish though. Add-ons should be here tomorrow. Got an extra handkit and whip, a party bowl, gaskets and screens.

Maybe I should try it and make sure it works...:wtf:

What's interesting about this comment is that of all the cannabis sites on the net, the FC site has got to have the oldest demographic of all of them. I'm 66 years old and have been very active there for almost 2 years now. I know of quite a few other seniors who are also active members there with the lions share of members being above 30 years old. Are there young kids there who get out of line? Sure there are, just like at any other site, but I would have to say that there are less of them there than just about anywhere.

What's also available there are the company marketing managers as well as the inventors and creators of many of the vaporizers that are mentioned here and they are VERY active there as they illicit many of us to do field beta testing of their products before they bring them to market.

One can visit that site without every having to become active, and just from lurking, can gain more information about vaporizers than anywhere else, and that is not an opinion, but a fact.

It's all good. I just wanted to clarify the kind of site it was so that anyone looking for comprehensive information about vaporizers wouldn't be turned away thinking that it was a site primarily composed of young teenage stoners, which couldn't be further from the truth.

Well, it's the next day, and the maintenance parts and accesories arrived. Arrived safely, discretely and promptly, with no missing parts or breakage.

But through my own ignorance I bought the wrong gourd. I knew kinda what I wanted, but all I could find on their site were the handkits. So I got an extra handkit because...well...just in case. I got it and it looks like it holds about a large bonghit, or two small ones. The one that comes with the Tower can hold a joint's worth or so. The party bowl looks like maybe 2 joints. The extra handkit doesn't fit the regular or party bowl. But they both work with the Tower.

Oh shit. Just got a call my wife is in the hospital. BBL

Well that was fun. Amber was taken to the hospital with a 105 temp and some sort of skin thing going on. The doc's think it's the t-cell lymphoma expressing through the skin, but I think it's from too much Califormia sun. She knows her meds prohibit exposure, but she loves the sun...and resultant symptoms have never been this bad. They released her last night so she should make the wedding today. <whew>

Trying to learn what setting to keep it on, inhale speed and duration, and what the vapor should look like when blown-out. Little to no vapor, and exhale has no flavor, (Lemon Skunk) but a big rip and I start to taste the popcorn immediatelly. Should I be looking for a middle ground?

yeah...i have a vape but i never use it...the bong is quicker :D

but dial the temp back and the flow...you should just exhale a small amount of vapor that dissapates quickly into the air....i never notice the burnt hashy flavor until about the 3rd bag on a volcano after dialing the temp up a few notches....start low and increase temps slowly as needed for best effeciency with most vapes :thumbsup:

i think Amber will like the vape but long term its more work than loading a bong and ripping it....jmo!;)
