Guys:

OK guys, I am officially committed to hydro and my new ebb/flow setup. Not sure how to get it all going but will be back with many questions as I move along. I have a spare room that has a grow tent inside that's 6x6x6 and 600 watt HPS and 400 watt HPS. I can go up to 12 plants with this system, will start off with 8 to 10 plants for my first hydro grow.

Still working on my cloning abilities and should get my new hydro setup going in a couple of weeks. Again, I will be back with lots of questions from you guys with experience. Appreciate feedback on how to do it the right way :)

make sure you keep the plants small dont let them veg to long....

If I remember what I saw Weezard say one time that you should have like 1 to 1.5 sq ft for each plant and 8 or 10 plants either real short veg time or a real skinny strain.
BTW that is the Ebb & Grow setup. Running same 1 downstairs atm have 2 600w over 10 buckets atm.

How much space to you have for your 10 plants and your two 600 watts??

I will be running a 600 watt HPS and 400 watt HPS. Also have 126 watt LED. How many plants would you go with in a grow tent (6x6x6)? How long to let them veg?

Well, theoretically you can get 36 in there if the control bucket and res were left outside the tent...... 6x6=36 sqFt. Each bucket is approx 1 sq ft.
My friend has a similar system. His system has 20 3 gal buckets covering approx 6x7 ft, using 2 600W.

Well lets see I have 4 inside a 4x4 tent and they take up pretty much the whole thing hehe  Then the room downstairs is roughly 12x8x6 1/2 and since this was the virgin run I only went with 10 buckets (came with 12) to see how things would go. I am currently planning on pulling a 400w cooltube from a cab I'm gonna retire and add it in the middle of the 2 600w with about 8 - 10 more buckets  Veg time depends on the plants. I avg 4 weeks but 1 thing I have learned is the plants will tell you what and when you just have to learn to see what they are telling you

I have the grow tent in a spare bedroom so yes the 50 gallon res and control bucket will be outside the grow tent. Think I will go with 8 or 10 buckets and just keep veg time down like people are saying and get this first hydro grow under my belt. Thanks for feedback :) I will post pics when I get it all setup to just share.

Nice setups you got going, thanks for the info :) Like I said I will post pics once I get it going. Going with Super Lemon Haze plants from GreenHouse, pretty tall/skinny plant from my first effort. Will see how many I can squeeze in. Just trying to get my clones going, week or two away and trying to figure cloning out.

we clone also. I have been doing up to 3 grows at once using just 1 mother. If I had my choice I would never germ a seed again but where I live your not going to go to the local dispens and pick up a dozen clones of your fav smoke. If ya need a hand ask.

OK my first clone attempt sucked, pulled them after 2 1/2 weeks. They never looked good and when I pulled them after 2 1/2 weeks they just had a knot/ball at the bottom no little roots.

Pic below is from my second attempt and 3 days in. Just using RO water and Rootech. Dome still on. If this does not work them I am going back to seeds I have. Ideas for this go around appreciated :(

Ok I honestly dont know squat about pretty red and blue lights so my first step would be is to get just a couple 20w cfl's and put overhead, that is plenty of light. Are they on a heatmat? Temp inside dome should be roughly 75-80, ours range from about 78-81 the way the stat is set. Here is a trick my GF came up with .... take your cuttings and put under dome, slight mist of water, soak a hand towel and wring it out till damp and roll up and put inside dome, put lid on. My last clone run I did was done that way and never had to water the clones, the towel kept moisture inside dome. Did those come in Rockwool or you put them in it?? We use Rapid Rooters now, started with RW but to many possible problems with salt and such. RR's are 100% organic and no salt problems plus faster root time. I believe under Basic Growing there is a sticky by Stinkyattic entitle Growing the Dankness or something close to that, about 1/3 of the way through there is a cloning part ...... good info

1 thing to remember is dont rush them. They can survive on plain water till roots come out and when you start with the nutes start out SLOW so you dont cook them :wtf:

Just took another look at the pic and it looks like they are dry as hell. Humidity is key to cloning. That and temp they pretty much go together

Thanks for feedback, in a nut shell:

No heat mat but temp under dome is right at 80. Yes I put them in rockwool, thats what hydro store/guys gave me so did not know better. Since you said little dry I went in a sprayed them with little mist/bottle. Thanks again for feedback will give an update in couple of days. :)
