Whats up everyone?

Been awhile but here I am. New grow, new location, new gear, and new to me strains!

Finally was convinced to try the auto dwarfs... ive been so curious since ive seen them.

The heat will definitely be an issue here. Im going to vent into my attic here to get rid of the heat and smell. Hopefully the humidity wont give me trouble.

Gear:
Main tent im using an air cooled hood with a 600w hps and mh. Lumatek balast that is dimmable. Will have 6-9 dwarfs inside.

secondary tent is much smaller but will be holding a Blue Mystic mother plant under 90w UFO.

The room will be exhausted through the ceiling via the air cooled hoods ducting using a 1000cfm 10" fan that i will install in the attic. Going to hang the fan from chains in the attic to cut down on sound. Living in a townhouse type deal with neighbors attached to my building.

I hope you all will be along for the ride because I know im going to run into heat problems and all help will be appreciated lol.

The strains will be Pakistan Ryder, Taiga, and White Dwarf for the autos and a Blue Mystic non dwarf.
All will be in Fox Farm Ocean Forest using FF trio as well.

Here are some shots this morning of the babies enjoying their time in my baby box!

They are about 2 1/2 days old.

Ok and here is the first question...

we have had two brownouts over the past few days. I think thats the correct term. Basically the power gets real low for a split second and shit turns off then its right back on.
I know thats not good for the hid lighting... should I get a UPS for a computer and hook it up to the ballast? It should only need to maintain the power for 1-5 seconds I would guess.

Good idea? any thoughts?

Thanks!

done them in the past as well as the ak ryder. they do smell when they are late into flowering. If you are in a connected town home . the atticks may connect and may not be sealed 100%. Just a thought i vented and still delt with strong smell somdays. As well as outside where it was leaking out attick. Filter should take care of it.

Who wants to see babies?? I do!

pic 1 - front two are Pakistan Ryders and the back two are Taiga.

Pic 2 - left to right: Taiga, Blue Mystic, White Dwarf

pic 3 - Nifty looking pic of a Pakistan Ryder.

They are about 6 days old except for the Blue Mystic which is only 3.

I keep plastic baggies over the cups to retain humidity. I think I need to get a seedling heat mat because the cups feel cool to the touch plus they are coming out a tad bit slow.

Let me talk about the performance of these little ones so far...

The Pakistan Ryders are the strongest and biggest of the autos so far. The White Dwarf looked really gross when it came out of the shell. It was a sickly yellow color with red blotches on it... thought for sure it was sick but its going strong now.

Now to the Taiga... They were the first beans to crack but they are very tiny and not very healthy looking. One had its little round leaves completely blackened and one fell off. I thought for sure it was a goner. But they are all still going but slower than the others. Blue Mystic is growing so much faster than the autos. She is going to be a mother than I will cut up when the autos are close to finish.

Any and all comments are welcome!

Will be interested to see this grow. Question: you using the FF for seed soil? Have heard that it's a bit too strong for seedlings. Maybe that's why you have some problems with a few of them? Would be interested to know.

Nice pics btw!

I have eleven of these that are currently three foot tall, pot bound (2 gallon) and show no signs of flowering whilst all the other 100 around them are nearyl done.! My friend took 4 and moved into 12/12 but after five days nothing, he is now taking cuttings and sticking them straight into 12/12. Anyone had same problrm? Think there was a bad bath of seeds from attitude.

Hey GTOD, I'll be following the thread for sure!

first, I would put the autoflowering strains into their final pots; everywhere I have read has said try not to transplant them. I am also growing a taiga right now; prob gonna start afghan kush ryder here pretty soon. My taiga sprouted in a day! I just put it in fox farm soil today. Def need to exchange progress on our taigas. good luck with the grow!:rastasmoke:

AK ryder is great smoke if finished out properly. great taste. but the yeild is low. even with the best light. they yielded about 1/2 per plant . Not saying some wouldnt do better. that was an average a few gave 1 oz per plant.

I have also heard this before and it would make sense because one of the Taiga's does look burnt and I thought it was too hot in the baby box but the other strains were fine. Good info thanks for the input.

Hey mrnobody

Ive read that the auto strain crosses can have some that show the 12/12 pheno. I would just toss those into 12/12.

Sup iray21... Sounds like good advice. I will put them in their final pots within the next day. I also have some Afghan Kush Ryder beans that I didnt have room for this run. My Taigas sprouted fast as well!

Here are the 1 week old pics.

Well unfortunately due to recent issues here I wont be able to use the 600hps :(

I will have to try to flower these under my 90w LED with a satalite 8 socket addition. Have one LED spotlight that is 660nm as well. Will try to get a couple more good LED spotlights but my budget is almost maxed. Wish I had a better LED panel.

If anyone wants to send me a 750w LED panel I would be glad to document its growing power! :D :D

Anyways... They are all looking good and settling into the FF soil. Will take pics tomorrow.

That sounds good if they flower with little to no veg.
That is about what my plants are looking like with a week of veg.
If they stay short and fat I would be happy with that yield per plant.
I will follow your grow along. Nice job so far.

Two have now flowered on their own terms but are massive and looking more like real plants than lowryders. Had one that managed to survive and the yield does look pretty small, a few weeks off yet, in comparison to the others. The AK-48 look incredible and the NYC Dielsal Ryders look dense and crystal covered.

Whats up everyone?

12 days old in these pics. Sorry about the quality but I was in a hurry. I will take much better pics on day 14!

So far the Pakistan Ryders and the White Dwarf are growing the strongest. Taigas are small in comparison. The UFO is about 12-14" away now and they are doing fine. The White Dwarf already has a divine smell... smells skunky amd its so tiny!

I think I will start 1/4 str nutes in about 5-6 days depending on how many nodes they have.

Ok so I dimmed my hps down to 360w and the temps were doable... when the lights click on it will be on 400w. Had some issues with venting into the crawl space so I have to deal with the hood venting into the room. Makes it real hot!

Hopefully most of the time I can run the hps on at least 400w. If its a real HOT day then I will turn the hps off and run them under the UFO until it cools down.

Why not keep the UFO running side by side regardless? Very very little heat and nice added light source. Over time you'll be able to dial in the HPS to what is needed. Just a thought.

Ok so we are at 2 weeks. I expected them to be angry with me after the transplant but they kept on growing.

From everything ive read it says they dont start really growing until 3+ weeks. Hope thats true because they are still small as shit.

The Pakistan Ryders and the White Dwarf are still much bigger than the rest. The White Dwarf has such a great smell already. Skunky!! Amazing how a little thing can smell so nice.

Whats up everyone...

Got some updates and some pics.

The Pakistan Ryder and White Dwarf are doing great. The Taigas are still very small and all three look funny. The Blue Mystic is a little unhappy today... maybe she wants a transplant but I dont want her to grow too fast.

So far im disapointed in the Taiga plants but they arent even close to being done so I dont want to pass judgement yet.

They should be getting their first nutes next watering. Hopefully there will be mass explosive growth! One can only wish... :stoned:

Have been able to run the HPS on 400w the whole time so far. Was woken up by my temperature alarm once when it hit 90F at about 4am. Other than that the tent has been reasonable with highs in mid 80s. Sometimes 88F. Right now its running smooth at 79F.

I had lowered the light a few days ago as well. The White Dwarf has tiny delicate leaves compared to the PR. The night it got 90f seems to have mildly burned the tips on the newest growth of the WD.

Glad to hear that you haven't totally gotten rid of the big bulb, but yeah, the heat from them can be a b!tch... I had to add five fans to my closet to properly move enough air for it to work. I have one intake, three small ones that stir the air in a vortex (and move heat off the bulb), and two exhaust fans at different stages. I estimate that with all fans on, I am moving 100-130cfm through the tent/closet at any given time, with NO dead air spaces.

Don't worry about their size too much, and be prepared to transplant 'em a few times before their final containers...

Keep up the good work!

Whats up?

Ok so almost halfway done... Its week 3 and they are all showing their sex but one. Gave the big ones their first dose of 1/4str nutes today. There is still one taiga that i have almost given up on.

The white dwarf is so much more sensative to heat than the other strains. Tried to find the coolest spot for her which is close to the fan.

The taigas are smelling almost as good as the WD... yummy! The White Dwarf seems to be the furthest along. Multiple sites with female flowers developing.

I will get some pics up maybe tomorrow.

...I had one plant that had been rootbound early on (finally corrected that!), and though it was always showing signs of growth, it was way behind the others. I kept it, though, because it had insanely tight internode spacing, and was kinda growing like a true bonsai all on its own.

Sadly, on my first real fan malfunction, I cooked it. Mehupe. Cooked another promising seedling alongside 'er that was coming up fast. Sigh.

My big girls recovered fine... though I realize that I really gotta get caught up on my own logging here soon...

If you can give the little one space (and time), and hey--check to see if it's rootbound--it might grow up to be a nice healthy plant, or perhaps a self-initiated bonsai mum for others to grow from!

Or it might make a nice cup o' tea, if it don't shape up! ;)

Thanks for the encouraging words man... Unfortunately its an automatic so its time is set. Cant really let it grow up or take clones from it :(

But you can go from seed to bud in about 50-60 days. Small yield but quick!

Ill take a close up of it tonight or tomorrow to show you. Its definitely not rootbound... I think its just bad genetics.

Whats up everyone... Thanks for stopping by to check up on the lil ladies!

So its been 3 weeks now and a couple of them are in full blown flowering.

The White Dwarf is doing the best even though its been burned a few times by the creeping temps during the night. She is the tallest and has bud sites developing everywhere. She smells strong enough already that I need to go get my Odorsok tomorrow.

The Pakistan Ryders are behind WD in size but still only a couple small preflowers. No smell either.

The Taigas are the smallest but coming along. They have tons of preflowers and a lovely scent almost as strong as WD.

The little mutant is still that. Dont know whats up with it but I got some close ups.

They just got watered in the pic and are a tad droopy.

I am having troubles adjusting my camera to the light of the HPS so the pics arent the best.

Ok so there has been some crazy growth in the past 4 days that I just had to show you guys. They are really loving the 1/4 str nutes. Judging from their reaction I think the bigger ones are ready for more than that. Im am taking it real slow on the nutes since ive never grown these tiny autos before and dont know how they will react.

The pakistan ryders have not started to flower yet. Had one preflower on them but they just look like they are still rolling through veg. The Taigas and the White Dwarf are starting to bud nicely with the WD being the furthest along.

The WD looks like a sativa in flower with some stretch... but the Taigas seem to be taking stretch to new limits. No idea why they are stretching so hard. They sure do look funny! One looks like a bunch of palm trees together lol.

Also that little mutant taiga that refused to grow seems to be shooting out side growth but no real vertical growth from the main stem. It is also starting to flower, which should be funny since its so small.

Still having issues with heat while im asleep so im thinking i might turn the HPS off at night and use the LED. We will see...

UPDATE

Everything is still going good. The White Dwarf is doing great. She smells great and when I take her out in natural light you can see her starting to get frosty. She is definitely done with the stretch and is focusing on pushing her colas up and out.

The Taigas also seem to be done with the stretch and are working on buds. The small mutant has shown alot of growth and is also making buds. Her main stem seems to have stopped growing shortly after her seedling stage. Her side branches are coming out now with buds. Her leaves are much darker than the other taigas. The taigas are smelling wonderful.

The blue mystic is doing great in her new pot and I have begun LSTing her.

On to the Pakistan Ryders... So far im disapointed because they arent really flowering... 4 weeks in and I see less than 5 calaxys on each... Also one is being tempermental about her nutes. She has some yellowing down low which looks like she wants more food than the others. PH is fine.
Going to try mixing seperate nutes for her at a higher PPM and see how she does. Not sure if I should force these into flower with 12/12 by just moving them to a dark tent. I will give them another week and see what they do.

Oh thats my super secret weapon that increases my yield 300%.... I wish lol

Its just the empty cups after the transplants... Figured I could use them again so they are just sitting there.

Its amazing how fast these things go compared to a regular strain. Every day I check on them the buds visually increase in size alot.

Somehow yesterday my carbon filter fan plug came out of the socket just a tad and wasnt on for 2-3 hours. When I came home my new neighbors that just moved in were outside so I stayed outside to shoot the shit for a few. He then tells me to come to the back porch. He told me to sniff and I did and we both smelled the weed and my heart dropped into my stomach. He said "i bet its those weird foreigners across the way... i always see them out there smoking".

PHEW lol. I agreed and went inside and the smell was intoxicating almost. Had to attach the cord to the wall with some extra strong tape so it didnt happen again!

Pulled a tiny open nanner off the stupid little mutant one... damn it.

It was only one and it was tiny. I dont think it will seed all the plants, probably just the mutant. Oh well I guess I might have some fem seeds...

I also finally found a way to add the 90w LED. I have it hanging on its side right next to the WD and the palm tree taiga. Definite results after 24 hours of use. The smaller buds near the bottom are now pointing towards the ufo and are much more frosty.

Also lowered the hps about 5-6" since I pretty much have the heat issue taken care of. Running between 80-86f with added UFO and lower HPS. Buds are getting bigger and look great... smell even better!

I will take some pics in two days which will be 5weeks.

Ok so its been 5 weeks. The taigas and the White dwarf continue their flowering. The taigas are still growing buds while the WD seems to be filling them in. The White Dwarf has a very strong fruity almost hash like smell.

The two pakistan ryders are still pissing me off. They have preflowers all over them but keep growing with spaghetti soft stems... not woody at all like a flowering plant should be. Im open to suggestions on what I should do with them.

All the autos are taking in 1445ppm nute solution with tip burn but are doing great otherwise.

They got some mollassas in their water the other day.

The blue mystic is growing fine but wants another repot.

Ok so almost 6 weeks have passed and they look good.

The Blue Mystic is doing good and growing. She also has a weird tiny leaf growing out of the center of one of her fan leaves... hopefully she buds out of her leaf, that would be sweet.

The Taigas are doing great. They are smaller yielding than the WD but the buds looks much much frostier. They have almost like an oak wood type smell. These should be a joy to smoke. Even the mutant is making her buds.

The White Dwarf is the biggest out of the autos. Her buds are getting fatter by the day. She is also starting to yellow which will progress further after I start flushing her in a few days. She smells of good hash.

OK... so heres what im doing with the "pakistan ryders" that im pretty sure arent. Someone mentioned to me that world of seeds had some mixups awhile ago and that these might be a mixup. Today I left one in 12 hours of dark and the growth literally exploded almost an inch. Im thinking they are just regular seeds that were mixed up. I will continue to put the one plant under 12/12 until auto harvest then I will clone the other and the mystic. After the clones and mystic get big enough the whole tent will go 12/12.

Heres some pics.

thanks for all the kind words guys...

According to the seedpacks they have 2-3 more weeks to go!

By that time the "PR" will be 2-3 weeks into flower then the whole tent will flip for the regulars to start flowering. So hopefully I will be harvesting every 3-4 weeks from now on.

The Taigas are not nearly as dense as the WD so hopefully in these next few weeks they will put on weight. One of the taigas has that danky grape type smell... love it.

The hairs are starting to turn orange now and are looking great.

My goal is 2oz dry to last me until the regulars start cropping. Also might try to make some buttter with the shake. Wont be much but its better than wasting it.

I still dont know if I am going to try anymore automatics... I have a few beans left that I will eventually grow out but after that im not sure.

Just took the "PR" out of the dark tent and back into the light tent...

Its been close to 48 hours in 12/12 for her and she is literally exploding with new growth. So much that I had to take a few pics of her. I spun her around for a front and back shot. Lots of pistils starting as well.

You can see her sister in pics 1 and 3 to the left... they were about the same size 2 days ago when I put her into 12/12. She is now towering her sister and gotten too wide to slide into her corner spot in the tent. Nice.

Might have to raise my light in the morning!

No worries...

I got some Taigas and a White Dwarf that are getting close to chop. Also have a Blue Mystic and two unkowns. The unkowns were supposed to be Pakistan Ryders but they didnt autoflower and are now doing so on 12/12... So my best guess is there was a mixup at the breeder and I got some other beans.

Im using a 600w HPS turned down to 400w. Also have a 90w LED for side lighting. Its mighty hot here so 400w is all I could manage without having BBQ nugz.

Really want to hurry these up so I can flip the lights in the tent. The regulars are getting taller... dont want to run out of vertical space especially considering I might put them in taller 5 gal buckets.

All in all everything looks great! The WD is getting nice and yellow from the flushing. The Taigas are incredibly frosty, much more so than the WD. Plus im thinking maybe a few grams from the mutant. Not much but I was just going to toss it out to make room.

Whats up everyone?

My ballast is great so far. Its the only ballast I have experience with because I started with CFLs and LEDs. I can tell you that it makes zero noise whatsoever. It runs warm to the touch after its been on in a warm room for a few hours. I also saw the % value ballasts... mine came with the watts on it. Mine goes from 360w/400w/600w/super lumens. Its very solid construction and feels very nice. The bulb is a regular 600w hps plantmax or something. Didnt buy an expensive one yet as this was a trial run with HID for me.

Ok so im going out of town unexpectedly today and wont be home for awhile. I cut the Taigas about 3 days early.

They are super sticky sweetness! Even the stems are loaded with trichs. The room stunk of skunky grapes.

I would have never thought they would be as nice looking as they are... One was a mutant that never really grew, one stretched out like a grove of palm trees, and the last one was always a tiny single cola plant. I am happy with them so far. I wonder if they have a Taiga regular non auto...

The blue mystic and other "P.R." get a transplant today before I leave. I transplanted the bigger one that has been flowering a few days ago to a 5g bucket. The tent will flip today as well. Cant wait for the big buds now...

UPDATE

The "P.R." that has been 12/12 for 3 1/2 weeks now looks amazing. Buds are noticably bigger every day. Sweet smell so far.

The other "P.R." and the blue mystic have been 12/12 for over a week now and are just now showing signs of buds. The other pr had a huge stretch the first week and is now bigger than the tall one thats been flowering.

The blue mystic actually topped itself if that makes sense. One day was growing a single stem the next there was a tight mass of vegetation... then two thick main stems now... very strange.

Everything is going good.

The autos got me a tad over 2oz dry. Wanted more but the one was a mutant and didnt give much. Plus one of the Taigas the buds were real whispy but potent. I feel that I could have gotten much more from the autos if I didnt have such high temps. Temps are good now that the light is only on 12 hours a day.

Still at 400w and the two big plants are in 5g buckets and the smaller one is in a 3g.

Had to add another small fan for lower plant air circulation... its getting cramped in there so it should be fun when they are all budded up.

Are you going to leave them in the three gallon buckets? Can you talk a bit more about your experience 3 vs. 5 gallon pots. I know the theory and the general rule of thumb - 1 gallon per foot of plant. What is your take / experience?

GetThisOrDie
07-01-2010, 03:36 AM
I am going to leave the smaller blue mystic in the 3g.

From my experience that rule has worked well. Ive tried bigger plant smaller pot and vise versa. Foot per gallon seems the best... The thing I dont like about the 5g buckets is that is creates an air tight seal with my tent floor so they dont drain well. I had to make little trays with rocks inside to sit the buckets in for drainage.

I also like the 5g buckets for their stability. With some 3g buckets it is very easy to topple it over with a bigger budded plant in it. So what I will do is fill 5g buckets with soil to a level thats good for the size plant im putting in it. Not too small of course!

If i were to have to make a guess I would say about 2.5-3oz's dried on the budded up one. She has some thick buds down low and a big mass at the bottom of her main cola.

The others are still early in 12/12 so its hard to tell. The blue mystic is smaller so im hoping for 1.5-2oz from her. The big one I dont know. Considering how hard she stretched and the bud structure so far, she seems to be maybe a sativa dom hybrid. So her buds might be smaller...

Hopefully I can get a decent amount so I can pack up the tent for a few months and relax.

I use several jugs for water storage that are exactly the same. I think I might have used one that hadnt been PHd yet or somehow got them mixed up. So i think they got watered with 8.8ph water... Should be fine but I got a few crispy leaves and the budded one has some yellow spots and canoed spears.

Tip of the day... dont medicate before you go take care of your plants!

Ok so the ladies are a couple days from 5 wks ("p.r."#1) and 3 wks ("p.r." #2 and blue mystic). Had a slight issue with accidental watering with non ph corrected tap water at 8.8ph. Got a few crispy leaves and some spots but other than that they are fine and budding up nice.

The 5wks girl smells like high grade for sure. Decent amount of trichs so far. Also getting orange hairs now.

The other two seem to be done with the stretch. They look like they will have some nice dense colas from the bud structure so far. They are both starting to frost up already but the blue mystic more so.

Hopefully these ladies are done in a timely fashion as I would like to pack up the grow before the hurricanes start.

Ok so the blue mystic and the big lady got pretty crispy from my ph mishap. I was sad until I checked them this morning... the buds are starting to get bigger and the BM is getting super frosty. Even with all the damage on them. Hopefully they are going to pull through and finish!
They both look like they are going to be full of buds.

Also this blue mystic actually smells alot now. I chose the strain for its lack of odor and have grown it out a few times without strong odor... this time is different. Different smell and taller bush this time around. The smell is very cat piss like in nature... thats the best way I can describe it lol. It stinks... but it stinks so good.

The other lady is getting closer and filling in good. Lots of short fat buds all over and the big main cola thats getting thicker. Should be 2-3 more weeks by the looks of it. Next week I will start flushing.

I will post pictures either tonight or tomorrow of the crispy girls :(

UPDATE

The budded one is almost 6 weeks old and is coming along nicely. Her buds are starting to get so fat and heavy the main cola is starting to sag over. Need to get a support stick... The smell is just of high grade bud. Looks great. Some of the lower bud branches are budded thick as hell almost all the way down to the main stem...excellent.

Now on to the other two. Now I have a few theories on what might have happened to these ladies... but its hard to pinpoint which it was because the taiga really puts me out of my mind and I cant remember... I was not able to give them proper flushes because its just too hard to pull them out and get them to a place where I can do it. I did water them as much as I could letting it drain into the waterproof bottom of the tent then cleaned it up as best I could. They got a mini flush I suppose. The big one in the back was damaged the most and lost alot of fan leaves. The buds keep getting bigger on them though so I have hopes of them finishing. The blue mystic is getting real frosty. These two plants are almost 4 weeks. The damage might have set them back a week but if they make it that far I will gladly give them extra time in the tent to make up for it.

On to the snaps... Dont laugh too hard at the poor girls :(

Ok so I chopped the one down at 8 weeks. She had about 5-10% amber trichs.

She had a main cola that was friggin huge... after I trimmed it up I noticed some weird fuzz on it. I ripped off a piece and I saw it... the evil bud rot...

So I lost the majority of the weight on the plant and am monitoring the drying buds and other plants for bud rot. Hopefully it was just in that bud because it was so damn thick and dense. It was about the size of a soda can at its widest part.

The scissor hash was great... Very spacey yet alot of body. Spicey flavor and fruity smell.

Didnt get pictures of the bud rot but I have some of right before chop and I will take some of the finished dry buds in a few days. Ive been really busy and just had tropical storm bonnie roll right over us. Ill try to get some pics up soon.

Also the other plants are starting to fill in. The buds are much smaller than they could be because of the burn and losing a majority of their fan leaves. At this point losing my cola to rot, I will be glad to get anything from these other two.

The blue mystic is super frosty. Hopefully she will blue up but I dont know with this temperature.

Bad news...

had to break down the grow in under 20 minutes because of incoming workers....

Neighbors had a busted pipe and it was soaking through the wall. Only had time to cut the big tops and toss them into a paper bag and were stashed in my truck.

Horrible.... Hopefully they will still be decent even though they were chopped at 6wks and tossed out the window in a bag... Very dissapointing.

I really had no choice but to chop. Workers and police were downstairs waiting for access to the rooms. I asked about the police later and they said it was in case no one was home they were going to get the cop to open the door?? Some silly shit that I have a hard time believing.

I was tossing 5g buckets full of soil with half the plants still in it out the 2nd floor window lol.

It was a terrible feeling indeed. Especially with the laws so harsh here in FL.
I know by research that I would have gotten 15 years MMS so that was pounding in my head while trying to break everything down and spray ozium and febreeze lol. Im glad nobody saw any of the shit that flew out the back windows. Have an herb garden and compost pile in the back porch so i just buried the entire plants in the compost as fast as I could.

It wasnt a total loss... even though they were early at 6 weeks the blue mystic was almost ripe being a 7 week strain. Also the big plant wasnt far behind her. The smoke is decent with a slight berry after taste. A few grams shy of 4oz dried and curing. Probably would have been 6ozs or a bit more... there was alot of bud I wasnt able to trim off.

As for the next grow... I have a good sized collection of seeds now. I have over 30 strains to choose from so it will be fun choosing.

I know for sure I will finish up my auto seeds which are Afghan Kush Ryder. Also might be trying an indica called Punky Lion that is chocolate flavored and scented. I do want a sativa in the tent this time as well. Maybe G13 labs Purple Haze...

I will also be trying some different things. Got a sample size box that contains all the BC nutes and addatives products with a mixing chart. I might try those in some DWC. Anybody ever use those products?

Also will be purchasing a new LED panel. Maybe a 180w or a little bit bigger. Hopefully all you people who are getting good results can point me towards some good cheap lamps with 3w diodes. I was looking at this one.

"Hopefully it was just in that bud because it was so damn thick and dense."

This is almost exactly the problem. Despite the external humidity, the humidity relative to the inside of that bud was much higher, pus the darkness made for a perfect mold environment.

When I grow big stuff like that, I always make sure to get a couple of bamboo skewers and try to separate the buds out a bit to allow more airflow and less chance of bud mold before harvest.

120w LED Grow Light Panel - High Powered 5-Band available (http://www.advancedledlights.com/products/NEW-%252d-180w-Extreme-Flower-LED-%252d-3w-USA-LEDs-%252d-11-Wavelengths.html)

Looks nice but it seems a bit over priced.

I will be posting pics later today.

Anything over quad band is a waste.

From the site ad: 11+ Wavelengths of Color Output: 760nm, 740nm, 720nm, 660nm*, 630nm, 615nm-480nm, 460nm, 440nm*, 415nm, 380nm

Yes, they're just playing the more colors = more better game.

You might as well just buy a 180w 4500K white LED panel for half the price using the same construction, and you'll get the same results.

And as to their claim that a 180w LED panels = two 120w LED panels? I want to see the grams per kilowatt-hour yield. They've gotta beat my 1.24 g/kWh before they can even dare make that claim. Not one company yet has done so and I've already offered twenty-five grand to anyone that can prove me wrong.

Nobody's biting on the challenge.

That was such a nice grow for the disaster you ended up with!:( So what happened with the stuff you threw out the window(Half plants)? Did you retrieve them later on? What was the tops like? Did they turn out ok after only 6 weeks? Did you get a decent amount of dry weight from the tops? This thread was very interesting, then an abrupt halt with a bum deal. Then that was it! Very interested in knowing what happened after the fact! Please do share. I am sure I am not the only one who would like to know the final ending to story! You done such a great job, for such a crappy ending!!! Look at it this way tho. You could of got caught by the cops and went to jail with never even getting a chance to enjoy any of them! Please do reply for our curiosities. Thanks

Thanks for the comments. I used the paper towel method then transplanted them into soil filled cups. Another good way is to just place the seed in a wet Rapid Rooter and keep it warm.
