Ok I am set on knowing that I want to start using one.. I smoke about 1/4 an ounce a week. (not too much, only 2 days a week usually) I smoke from a blunt usually or a bong. The coughing and extreme throat pain is getting me frustrated so I want to stop. I am looking to spend anywhere in the $100-150 range. I need suggestions from people who have had very good vap's and can vouch for them. All suggestions welcome

$150 is around the minimum for a good, reliable home vape. With $150 as a maximum I'd probably go for a VaporBox from Vaporstore.com. 10% off with 'vapormovement' as a coupon will get you a standard connection box for about $125, and a hands free unit for a little over $150. You get a deluxe handkit and a lifetime warranty on the heater.

For $90 (w/coupon) you can get a great little portable- Magic Flight Launch Box. Some use it both home and away. Takes a little care during use-you need to grind very fine and be careful of the temp, since battery connection time determines your temp.

I started using the HOT BOX a couple of years ago and have no complaints at all. I like the simplicity of it. I just hold the glass wand to the glass covered element and draw in gently. I hadn't used Cannabis for over 20 years, and this was a good option when I started chemo for lung disease. It's in your price range, and easy to get off ebay. There are many good vaporizers out there, and I encourage you to take the time to find one you'll like. You'll be glad you ditched the smoke, especially if it's giving you problems. Good luck on your search.

i'd go with a zap or purple days. i have a multitude of smoking instruments but i would say 90% of my usage now goes to the zap + bong combination. it's within your budget and most of its owners would agree it's one of the most efficient vaporizers on the market. i used to smoke alot and thought that vaporizers being efficient is just marketing (i thought even if it were true, it's likely to be because people smoke less, not because they actually get more out of vaping) but having used vapes exclusively for a couple weeks now, i can frankly say it's not true.

i used to hit one-hitter bowls, and each bowl was bigger than my zap's bowl. my standard practice is to pack one stem, hit one large hit through the bong and deposit the ABV into a jar. i sometimes, but rarely, hit the 2nd one because i've found that one hit vapor in fact gets me as high (or even higher) than one hit smoke.

so i figured - if vapor from one hit gets me as high as smoke from one hit of a bigger bowl, plus i can reuse vape remnants while i can't do that for smoke, so it only makes "cents" to keep vaping to a maximum and smoking to a minimum. i still smoke, but only occasionally when it is absolutely necessary to blow pass those temporary vaping thresholds (i think most of you know what i mean).
