I mean, I know it wouldn't last many weeks, but, you could still get blazed with out a screen right? It has a filter, but thats it. Im looking for a nice pipe to get, im stick of my joints canoeing and burning on one side... then the bud gets overburned and wont light and I end up smoking less, though getting alot of smoke. Again, no metal screen here. And should I settle for a glass, or metal pipe, or is it just a matter of preference? Aside from ingestion and vaporization, whats the cleanest smoking method?

I've got a corncob pipe that has lasted me a few years, now. Once the inside carbonizes and turns into a heat-insulating layer, the pipe is good to go as long as you don't scrape the sides.

If your joints aren't burning right its your rolling technique. I would suggest getting a rolling machine.
