1000w white widow grow

Hey guys, so i just got 10 ww fem seeds and just installed my new light set up.. Im now running a Thousand watt MH for veg and thousand HPS for flower in a 8inch cool tube their in a DR120.. My old setup was a 400w batwing..I'am curious to know what others have yielded and experienced with a similar setup and white widow? Iam going to do half and half 5 at once then if i like results the other 5.. I have prab 4-5 weeks or so left of flowering with my current girls now under the same setup so i will add pictures as they come along.. Any suggestions and input will be greatly apreciated :) I love trying new ways and ideas Thanks again!

looks great man! I love white widow. I've grown a few under a 600w hps and they did great....check out my album "3rd grow". It's a great strain, and you look like you have a nice setup....you'll do great! :jointsmile:

so far you look like you are in pretty good shape. Your plants look nice and healthy. How far along are you exactly? what nutes are you using?

Be sure to not overwater.....use good budding nutes....and keep temps controlled. I'll keep checking in on you to see your progress....more pics would be great!

Yeah, my cat loves pot! haha....it's really funny! She goes crazy when it's time to harvest. She loves the smell and wants to eat them! she's just like her mama! :jointsmile:

how big is that tent? mine is 54 x 35.5 x 84 and im using a 400 in a bat wing if i could fit a 1000 in there in a cool tube that would be great. im thinking about going 600 watt as soon as i get this one dialed in. your girls look awsome. keep up the good work.

So much heat... so little space. I just worry about putting torch to the place knowing that the insurance adjuster is going to hit me with some hard questions.

My DR is 4'x4' and 80'' tall.. I veg with a 1000w metal haylide and flower with my HP.. Its in a 6inch cool tube so i got a inline fan on that and a circulation fan going and their healthy as could be and its actualy fairly cool in there lol.. BUT the actual location of my grow room is very cool and dry.. Oh and i also have a DR60 wich i forget the dimensions but its very small i think 2x2x4.5 tall with a 400w batwing setup in there and never had any heat issues.. Dont know if that helps lol?

Dude How much do you pay for your eletric bill?
How much more do you expect to pay with 2000 watts?
I only ask because I am 1st time grower and slightly worried about 1st bill.

My fiance pays our utility bills so im not sure how much it went up lately lol she didnt ask for more money in her account so it couldent have been that bad lol.. Here are a few pics first one is of my dr120 and other 2 of my first setup that i now use strictly for vegn and one of 2 new femn seedlings under my T5 floro..

Just a fair note - if this is Greenhouse seeds WW, keep that light AWAY from the plants when you flower. Veg is fine to have close, flowering is a different story altogether. I got massive light bleaching from a 400w bulb on a batwing and hardcore jet-air fan at 18 inches about 40 inches down on the plant.

I don't know of any other potentially more stable WW genes.

MH is the preferred primary lighting source for most greenhouses with HPS being chosen for secondary supplementary. MH outputs a bit more UVB than HPS, so the potency should increase. Also, the ratio of red and blue versus green is better, closer to natural sunlight, so the flowering should be denser.

You wouldn't see much of a difference rather than feel and taste and perhaps tell by the buzz.

I'd go for it. MH is closer to natural sunlight and thus I'd prefer it over HPS most any day.

hmmm....I'm confused! Are you using a 1000w HPS now? Most people I know use MH for veg and HPS for flower....not the other way around.

I found the following info on a wikipedia search...

High pressure sodium lamps yield yellow lighting (2200K) and have a very poor color rendering index of 22. They are used for the second (or reproductive) phase of the growth. If high pressure sodium lamps are used for the vegetative phase, plants will usually grow slightly more quickly. The major drawback to growing under high pressure sodium alone is that the plants tend to be taller and leggier with a longer internodal length than plants grown under metal halide.

I've grown with MH/HPS before and have had success. And I hear that you can grow just fine with either/or....it's still light!! hell, people bud plants under cfl's all the time. I'm in a new grow right now using all LED's....check out my thread...I'm still vegging, so soon it will be interesting! :jointsmile:

Hell yea lol i love trying new techniques and or tricks.. I normally veg with a 1000 MH and flower with my HP.. And i also i have a smaller tent with a 400w MH/HP setup so im deff gonna try switching it up (MH for flowering) in there first and see what happens lol.. Look at his albums. You'll find a class 1 setup there.

so far I'm loving the LED's....it's been great not worrying about temps all the time. And my babies seem to be loving the light. I have 2 kushes that I already had to trim down....they are growing so fast! Check out my thread "Moodys first LED grow"....
