HEllO GC, This is my first grow and i wanted to share it with you guys maybe can get a little feedback from everyone on a few things since I am new im not sure if I am being a over protective parent or they are doing great so all feedback will help!!
What im working with here are:
2 Purple Kush
1 Sour diesel (both were clones from a medi shop!)
They are in Fox Farm Ocean Forrest
With a T12 Florescent
and 4 CFLs that are on as long as heat does not get to high
total about 16,000 Lumen s
So far no nutes (was wondering when i should give them sum?)
They get water every 5 days or so no set schedule just when the soil dries
The First pic is of the larger of the 2 purple kush
The Second Pic is the other Purple Kush
The Third is of the Sour Diesel

if i were you id'e LST the bitches. It would improve your yield while cutting your height in half. Its would also flatten the plant out so you can cover them more evenly with the t5's. The problem i have with my t5's is that the tops get alot of light, but the lower you go, light intensities suffers. Bending them over would let you soak ALL of the tops with light.
Its also less stressful on the plants than topping. (hence the term Low Stress Training)
As for nutes, I think you should start feeding them. I dont know what kind you are using but I would start small and work my way up.
Whats the PH? If you dont know, you should go buy a soil tester and find out. Alot of times when Im having problems with my plants, its usually Ph related.
Your plants look great. I hope to see some purple when you throw them into flower.:rastasmoke:

...particularly with the Kush, as it takes to LST like a duck to water.
What is LST, you ask? It stands for Light Stress Training, where you carefully tie down the main stalk so that it is horizontal, instead of vertical, and then train it around your container so that it forms many 'tops' instead of one.
There are some great threads around here on the technique, and I'm using it on /my/ first grow, which also happens to be with Purple Kush. I have something like 24-ish tops coming out of my Numba1 plant...
Another alternative would be SCRoG, where you do the same thing with some kind of lattice wiring. I think the Sdiesel would like it, too.
Also, the advice about the PH kit is really good, tho you don't necessarily have to test the soil, just everything that goes into it. If you're using dirt as the base, you need to aim for 6.0-6.5, and if hydro, 5.5-6.0. A decent cheapie kit should run under 10bux.
Hope this helps!

I was thinking about switching to 12/12 in a week and a half Good Idea???

The only reason I try and stress the whole PH tester thing is because alot of Begginers think that having spots, burns, and miscolored leaves has to be a nutrient deficiency or toxicity. If the plant is not at the right ph, 6.5-7 for soil, some nutrients will be taken in at different rates(and some not at all), creating toxicites/defiencies that cannot be treated with fertalizer or anything else excepting for correcting the PH. Bascially what im saying is that if your having a problem with your plants the FIRST thing i would do is test the PH because alot of problems stem from that.

We cant answer that question. How much over head space do you have? Those plants are going to be 2-3 times bigger than that by the end of flowering. They are untopped too so they could get pretty tall. The good thing is you have t5's. You can get them realllllyyy close to your plants and they put off a blue light, which will help reduce stretching.. My 1000w hps needs to be like 2-3 feet from the plants or else it burns them.
Also you will want to consider how much you want to yield? Longer veg time= more buds in the end. (but monster plants!)
