WHATS UP EVERYBODY!
I'M SO EXCITED TO FINALLY BE ABLE TO POST AS A CONTRIBUTING GROWER! I CANT WAIT MEET YOU ALL!
that aside, down to business
After months of planning I finally made it to the city, got my referall and have started my education. This is my first grow and I am gardening in the spirit of experimentation and education. I am joining this online community with the hope that if I hold nothing back, neither will you. I will be following anyone who follows me, maybe together we can learn something new. I thank you all in advance and look forward to our creations to come.
Here is what I'm working with
[attachment=o242172][attachment=o242176]
I got the Passive Intake on the Left side of the cab, and the Exhaust Elbow on the Rogger. You cant properly see it, but at the head of the elbow there is a pc exhaust fan steadily blowin. Right now I have it set for 24/7 flow, is that alright? The charger I wired it with was way weaker than I needed, but it was all I could find. I hope to find a 12V soon, any advice on where i could grab one on the cheap cheap?
It measures 27x18x33", which i know is small, but it is what it is. Mylar covers the walls. Right now I've got a 90W UFO, but I might switch to CFLs and double up on UFOs in the Flower Cab.

The two Dreamers and a Pot of Gold Seed I germinated for fun
I've got everybody in Fox Farm Ocean Forest and upon transplant I gave both pots 450 ml of bottled water (crystal geyser spring water?) and the seed 79 ml. I need advice on my watering, how much and how often? I live in the city so I don't really trust my water, should I stock up on distilled? I have heard that Ocean Forest can be too strong for the yungins so people cut it with Lite Warrior. I went full on Ocean Forest, am I going to run into problems? Should I have treated the pots before planting at all? How often should I be checking PH, and is checking runoff sufficient? Right now I don't have any soluble nutrients or ph balancers, any advice on what I should grab?
Well that's all I can really think of at the moment. Please, hold nothing back, if I'm totally blowing it, let me know, and thank you in advance.
Peace
Miner

if ur in a cab, then 24/7 airflow is prob a good idea. air can get stale quick with a lot of plants in a confined space. mylar works well as reflective material, but is very fragile, and can rip/tear easily. for this reason, i prefer astro-foil. it's a bit expensive, but will last for years. ffof is pre-ferted, and can cause probs with seedlings. feeding in soil should be done once weekly. between feedings, water with properly ph'd water with a bit of run-off. the run-off will aid in eliminating the build-up of excess nutes in your soil. don't use your run-off as a ph guide. if you properly ph "everything" you put in/on your plants, ph should never be an issue. i've seen people who have outrageous run-off ph numbers, whose plants are displaying "no" noticeable issues. so they try and chase the proper ph by using highly elevated, or decreased ph feed levels to try to balance the numbers to compensate for the difference. this can be done, but is extremely difficult to successfully do.

Stick to 24/7 air movement, this will prevent air from getting stale and will prevent air from stratifying (developing uneven layers of heat.)
If you're thinking of doubling up on 90s in the flowering cabinet, I'd suggest you find a good 50w LED to drop in the veg chamber. I know mine is too much for two plants, maybe three or four would have been better but I didn't have a box with enough room.

Does your supermarket have a reverse osmosis water dispenser? (They fill those water cooler jugs) That with a little Cal-Mag+ (from gardening/hydro stores) is a better bet than the spring water. Give them wet/dry cycles when watering, there is no rule about days, just water thoroughly. Let it dry out until the pot feels light, like there's only dry soil.
Fox Farm soil and nutes seem to work for a lot of people. One thing I have noticed is that when you keep the plant in the same soil for 6+ weeks, the buffers run out and ph drops, and problems arise. Some plants deal with it better than others. You can avoid this by repotting a couple weeks into flower...
And def. invest in some ph up, down and at least some ph strips (the drops are not that good IMO). Milwaukee makes a $20 digital pen that's supposed to work well, that's probably your best option.
Happy growing :jointsmile:

unless you are using the Crystal Geyser from the Weed bottling plant...thats good water! :thumbsup:
its taken from an artesian well...when we were kids we would see who could stand in the water the longest it was so cold...usually about 10 - 15 seconds was the winner!
but make sure you don't over water....stick your finger in the soil to your second knuckle if you feel moisture don't water...over watering is the most common cause of many issues. :smokin:

DAY 1- Welcome Home!
Leaf tip on the dot pot started to yellow and curl so i added 1 cup of water to each of the dreamers before they went to sleep.
DAY 2- SO FAR SO GOOD
Babies
The Dreamers looked good this morning when they woke up. The tip curling hasn't spread on the dot pot since the watering and they looked quite vibrant after I came home from skating today.
[attachment=o242769]Form
[attachment=o242770]Emptiness
I watered the seedling again, a 1.5ish tbs. It has less soil and the environment seems far too dry for optimal seedling growth, so Im gonna try to keep her satisfied.
DAY 3- WE'VE CRACKED THE SOIL!
Babies
F&E looked vibrant as ever this morning! I pulled them for watering around 8 and gave them both another cup.5ish of water. This is still probably leaning on the heavier side, but with the dryness and youth, Id rather start heavy and work lighter.
Our PoG has cracked the surface, perhaps due to that extra watering yesterday night. I gave her another 1 tbs as well.
DAY 4- WAKE ME TO THE DAY!
Babies
F&E are quickly becoming queens! Those initial signs of yellowing and curling of the tips have totally vanished and I am now prone to attribute that to transplant stress, perhaps also initial under watering.
[attachment=o242771]Form
[attachment=o242772]Emptiness
PoG is still killing the game, of course. Coming in at 4.25 cm, P's got some nice initial color and is looking vibrant. We'll soon have to start a journal just for P and also give a proper naming. I've decided that even with my size limitations, if the seed comes up male, im not gonna scrap him. I'll grab some cfls, make a shitty cardboard box grow and give it to Seen, or take him to the park and plant him. It would be nice, even with my space limitations to be able to experament with breeding as that is my ultimate goal, but perhaps this is all rushing it.
Im so proud and excited, everyday I wake to find them a bit more firmly rooted. Its a good feeling.
Came home from skating, humidity seemed pretty high, but the ladies looked lovely and PoG has almost hit the brim of the cup.

DAY 5-SOIL TONIGHT
Babies
Came home from the bank realizing that the babies are probably old enough to get a little bit closer to the light, so I elevated them both a few inches. I hope they enjoy the extra warmth. I've definitely noticed some vertical growth and want them to keep up the great work.
Got home from TJs and they were loving the extra elevation so much that I gave Master P a pedestal of its own. They responded so quickly, can't wait to see how P does with it.
After dinner today I gave everybody their new soil, 1.5ish cups for the dreamers (up to that first cut node on both) and .3 cup for P. .3 and 1tbs of water for F&E and P resp. Extra light and heat, more room for rooting, and almost a week in their new home, I hope that their feeling as good as I am.
DAY 6- 420 BRO!
Babies
Everyone was in full on celebration mode today, shining in the light. Good stuff.
I realized that P hadn't grown vertically since hitting the lip of the cup. I repositioned the fan and cut a half inch off the top of the cup for more exposure to the wind. Time to get P's fire burnin!
Gave P more soil. Soil for the babies tomorrow.
DAY 7- ONE WEEK DREAMIN!
Babies
Dreamers look great, possibly some lower stem stretching which means I can probably add soil tonight. WATER: The dreamers got 1.5ish and P got 1 tsp because he got some last night with the soil.
Definitely have been noticing a reaction to the new soil from the babies, but less pronounced that the initial transplant. The lower fan leaves show slight yellowing, but I'm gonna let them learn from it. Master P is killing the game with it straight from seed, so I bet once the roots develop a bit more, they'll be more prone to handling it smoothly. After all, they're still babies.
Everyone was looking super sensual after my two amazing job interviews, we gave thanks and blessings, and I rotated the babies to open up some new growth. I have P under heavy wind from being right next to the fan. I'm trying to minimize stretching by strengthening the stem. Is stretching due to light or heat or both?
After dinner checked on everybody and really appreciated the new shoots vegging. Form's main stem was 14cm before adding new soil tonight and Emptiness was 12cm which means that this week both have vertically grown 6 and 4 cm each and with all that new bushiness.
Our seedling has been loving the soil inch ups and after todays soil is an inch above ground.
They have definitely been reacting to the soil, initially during transplanting and each time I inch up the soil. Would cutting it with lite warrior have made it smoother? Will the slight burn hurt them in the long run?

[attachment=o242776][attachment=o242777]Form
[attachment=o242778]Master P
I gave 1 cup soil to each dreamer, .5c water. MP got 2tbs soil, 2tbs water
Realized that with this mornings watering, and judging by the run off, I'm watered the shit out of the girls today, I hope they're feeling it.
QUESTIONS
Alright, I'm a week in and my babies are growin.
I'm definitely going to lst but Im flirting with the idea of also topping Emptiness to see how it responds and eventually yields. When should I start lst? When should I top?
I've heard that ffoc has enough nutes for the first two weeks, when should I start introducing soluble nutrients? Any recommendations for a sweet blend of nutes for Blue Dreamers? Any recommendations on Foliar feeding? Is it worth it?
TO DO FOR THE WEEK
-FIX UP THE FLOWER CAB
-FIND A 12V CHARGER
-Start Lst?
-Cop Nutes? What should I grab?
WHAT A GREAT WEEK! THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO OFFERS ANY ADVICE, PLEASE HOLD NOTHING BACK. HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!

The dreamers are coming along beautifully, but as we near week 3 im really starting to think about training and nuts. Any advice on topping vs lst? I think im going to top Form, which probably means another 2.5 weeks of vegging.
Will the root mass grow alot during flower? Should I transplant to bigger pots with that much more veg time? My seedlings are coming up hard and they're about to get some much larger pots, probly not taller, but definitely girthier.
Im smokin so the questions are kinda pourin out, if anyones in SF, hit the Sanctuary for that earwax!!! ANY ADVICE IS MUCH APPRECIATED! HAVE AN AMAZING DAY!
