$55/ 1/8 will get you out the door with the top shelf
killer queen
the white
sour diesel
afgooey
and about 20+ other strains were available.
Every single one was the hands-down best representation of said strain I'd ever seen. :smokin:

Nice, that's not too bad... I'd pay an extra $5 for the fire. That's close to me, so I'll have to make a stop for sure. Been wanting to try The White.

This type of thinking is the reason why these money hungry dispensaries get away with charging $60 - $75 an eighth. We as consumers need to stop overpaying, if we did, prices would drop

When I spoke with the owner, he was working on lowering his prices below the 55 per 1/8, and will not be raising prices. Price point is a big concern, at the same time keeping some of the best meds in town.
Also I believe the 55 is with tax so its more like 50/eighth plus tax. <---Correct me if I'm wrong here.

LMAO!! Things are still a bit foggy...
Steve, check 'em out for sure. Here's a list of what they had that I can remember:
Golden Goat
Blockhead
Killer Queen
White Fire (The White x Fire OG)
The White
Afkansastan (Afghani cut from KS)
SSH #2
SSH #3
Afghooey
AK47 (on special)
Diesel Haze
Purple Urkel
Sour Diesel
...and there's probably 5-10 more I can't recall. This stuff all looked well done for sure! If I'm gonna get picky (and I always do) one of the strains I got seemed like it wasn't cured long enough for my liking... only after 2-3 hits in my bowl was I even able to get a small barely lit cherry. But I'll definitely be back man. The other strain was perfect and very tasty...

Checked it out today. Picked up some Killer Queen & Purple Urkle. Talked to the guy for a bit. It annoys me that they have nice bud but then they give it to you in a ziplock. Besides that I'm going to be dropping in every once in a while. Prices are ok. And at least the guy knows his stuff.
FarmerSteve
04-18-2010, 06:38 AM
I remarked about that too (the ziplocks) and Jerry said that it's mainly due to the fact that everyone ends up having umpteen hundred jars, and that just doesn't feel right to them. They were kind enough to let me in, even though I got there about 10 minutes after close, so I wasn't going to say anything, besides, I have glass jars here at home, and they encourage you to bring in your own jars, which I will.
That said, I picked up four testers, Sweet Skunk, Chem Dawg, Green Crack, & Afgooey. I've never had any of these strains before with the exception of Bryan's amazing Chem, so it should be interesting.
Again, it was after closing time, so I didn't want to keep the man, but everything looks and smells REAL nice. I had one hit of the sweet skunk earlier, and it was nice, very nice. I'm about to go hit this Chem and Afgooey, so I'll throw down the report tomorrow.
I'm feeling good about things though. Great building, people, and vibe, so that's a good start. And it's a MUCH easier and scenic drive than it was to CCF, so all things considered, it makes the "loss of Bryan" a little wasier to stomach.
peace.

I said "waiser"
Anyway, yeah, this is good stuff. I think I like this Chem Dawg even more than Bryan's, or at least the same. B's seemedto have more of a menthol/chocolate type thing going on whereas this one seems a tad sweeter. Who knows though, maybe it can vary this much from batch to batch, I wouldn't be sure.
The Sweet Skunk is nice. Reminds me of when my mom would get hooked up with "Ses" back in the day, (late 70's or so) I clearly remember that pungently sweet aroma. Normally I didn't like MJ smoke at all, but when they had that stuff, I was a bloodhound on that smoke. Nice work.
THe Afgooey has a leathery/grape flavor, or so it seems, I am :stoned: to the bone at this point off a small bowl of Chem and and smaller bowl of this here gooey
Bottom line, place is dope. And even if B was still at CCF, because of the variety of different strains and the shorter trek (into a far cooler neighborhood) I would have probably split time between the two places.
I have a new bandwagon to ride.
BTW, I just LOVE this Ubaldo Jimenez kid. I LOVE this whole Rockies team.
peace.

When I was there, Elements had both chemdawg 4 and chemdawd D on the shelf. Brian used to stock chem 4 as one of the cheaper. Other than that he had chemdawg 91, not the D.
Those are three best and most common clone only versions of chemdawg you'll see: 4, D and 91.
Some seedmakers also sell chemdawg these days, but it should say like chemdawg ix1 or chemdawg S1 or chemdawg DD, etc.
When shops sell "chemdawg" and the budtender cannot tell you which chemdawg, probably one of the seedlines.

Hello everybody
First and foremost, thank you Bryan for posting this thread. I definitely owe you one (or two lol) :rasta::rasta::rasta:
thank you for all the kind words everybody
ThaiBuddhaMan - I try to be as eco friendly as possible :hippy:, and I can't justify being responsible for thousands of plastic containers winding up in the trash. Since I let patients mix&match their bags, the average patient purchases 4 different strains. In fact, I have blown through 2 boxes of ziploc bags :baggy:(@200/box) since opening April 1. That would mean in 2 weeks I would have distributed around 400 plastic containers, and I would bet that 90% of those wind up in the trash. I definitely sleep better at night and my dreams are full of mountains of green nuggets, not nightmares of mountains of plastic containers in the landfills.
We highly encourage patients to bring their own jars or containers, and I hope you bring yours!

Dude did your sample of The White burn well?
No doubt this place has dank herb and I'm not trying to spread bad vibes... just curious. I couldn't really get mine to light at all! It looked like some great smoke, but I had just a charred black fossil in my bowl after several attempts at lighting it... could never really get a cherry! No way in hell you're gonna get a joint of that burning...
But then again, I don't grind my weed. This would probably burn enough to smoke a bowl if I ground it. Seems like everybody grinds their shit anymore, but I think it takes away from the hit. When you grind it you can smell all those nice strong aromas being released, but then I think the aromas/flavor of the hit suffers. I actually pick apart my herb by hand or with scissors. If it's great herb I'll separate each individual calyx with scissors. Try it!

I did get it to burn. I use a little glass bong with a tiny little one-hit bowl and I NEVER grind my herb. That White Fire is a little gooey tho. Here, let me see...

Also, I find it not to bother me as much if I'm using a hemp wick... that way I know I'm not sucking butane down while trying to light my herb.

Yeah, I don't like to grind most of the fire I get cuz I want all the trichs and flavor in the blast (unless I'm on a vaporizer). If I want keif I'll just go pick some up at a disp.. I think the only reason to grind is to collect keif. I'm old and we never used to grind herb back in the day (we used to run mersh thru a sifter tho). I don't think I even saw a "grinder" before 1997. Now-a-days these whippersnappers grind up everything. Could be a generational thingy. To each his own but for me it's scissors or good old fashion thumb and index. Word!

it's all preference brotha, not generational- Grinders are awesome if you're about to roll some dutch's or j's and don't feel like sitting down for 15-30 mins scissoring up some herb. Grinders also are great when I'm in a hurry or alternatively too intoxicated to operate scissors ;). Also, on the contrary, I think good smelling/tasting herb, when ground, still tastes/smells great, I've NEVER notice any taste difference and actually I think it tastes BETTER in some instances when I've ground the herb- it really rips up the green and gets them nice and smelly:D
Personally, I used to grind for keif once and awhile, but now I only grind if a)i'm in a hurry or b) I don't feel like chopping up a 1/8 for some j's. I have a Wikka box I set my herb in/cut my herb over and it has collected so much keif, I don't know what to do with it. Keif is such a rip off at stores in my opinion because you don't know the quality, and you can collect keif easily w/o grinding. I've seen some very green keif sold at dispensaries which makes me think there's a lot of plant matter in it- For example I have a 120 screen, keif looks like *SLIGHTLY* tinted green sugar. I think everyone would be surprised just from cutting your herb up over a screen how much kief you can collect. I had an 1/8 of Sour Chunk from Cam, got over .5g worth f keif, no grinding, no shaking, just cutting herb to roast.

NS, that would be AMAZING. I don't like paying the prices, but as I waxed on about before, I really cherish and enjoy true craftsmanship of ALL kinds. It just so happens that A. MJ really makes a difference for me and the lives of my 4 children and wife, and so I really can't imagine going without it, and B.
Since I cannot grow, I don't feel paying a premium for true fire is that much of a burden.
I know from your vantage point, one I hope to have someday, what it must look like, but my options are limited at this point.
Thanks for keeping me in mind. I may bring it up to you a few times between now and then. I LOVE the caregiver/patient model, and that's where I'd like to be.

I prefer to use scissors to lightly chop my herb before smoking. I find a grinder does too much damage to the trichomes and takes away from the flavor
but for best flavor, I use some glass rods that I heat with a torch, and I light my bong with those:thumbsup:

If you actually sit down and smoke one bowl that was ground up, and then load a second where the herb was carefully chopped, you'll see the difference!! Its a simple fact that you're bursting and losing trichs, but also losing a bit of the terpenes and oils as the plant is chopped and smeared along the inside of the grinder. Granted, its a very small amount of loss, but it can sometimes make a big difference.
The only time I ever grind is for vapor hits. And maybe stuff that isn't quite dry enough to smoke well.

Went there yesterday because of the reviews on here and through mutual friends ended up knowing the guy Jeff who runs the place. Which was a added plus.
To make it short this place is the real deal. First dispensary I've been to that every single jar I opened was fire.So many great and rare strains with loads of growing experience put into them.Unfortunately because of lack of funds I was only able to walk out with the Golden Goat and Killer Queen.
Killer Queen was fantastic. It had an almost cotton candy like taste that lasted all the way til the end of the bowl. The Golden Goat they had might be the best example of the strain I've seen yet.
Looking forward to going back and picking up some the white both chem dog cuts and some the purple urkle once pay day rolls in.

Couldn't agree more. I'm in the process of identifying my 3-4 favorite strains and then hunting the clones down. So, when I get set up again next fall I'm going to just grow these strains I love.... and believe me this is definitely one of them. I'd probably take this over the SFV (which was my previous number one). I'd take them both, but they're too similar I think if one is only going to be running 3-4 strains. Something else may lend more variety. However, maybe I'll just bump it to 4-5 strains :D (and that's assuming I can even get my hands on them...)

Man, I haven't been in another place since I stepped foot in here. There's some great smoke here... the White Fire and Killer Queen I think are my favorites (and of course the Chem4 I mentioned).
Just a great shop man! You know these guys are super hands-on. He's had the same strains since day 1 and it's obviously not coming from random vendors like in so many other shops. This is how a shop should be run in my opinion.

Hello Everybody, some new and fresh stuff on the shelves
We recently stocked up on some Super Silver Haze #3. This phenotype has a very rich and spicy flavor with a hint of caramel. Very strong balanced high, but most noticed in the head. Drops my eyes half shut
We also added some Flo to our shelves. This Flo is a popular cut here in CO, so many of you may be familiar with it. Very tasty and smells so sweet and floral. Great happy buzz
The White this batch is very stoney. Very rich and complex flavor that expands in your lungs and can cause you some coughing. Potent medicine
Giesel (Chem D x Mass Super Skunk) just arrived as well. Very stoney indica.
also restocked on some White Fire (the white x Fire OG Kush) and Chem D and Super Silver Haze #1

As good as CCF? Better in my opinion. Why do I like them SO much? Same strains ALL the time. Strains are grown correctly. Jeff is a Great guy, Shawna is always kind as well. Colorado boys for the most part, or at least have been here for a while, call our little spot in the world "home". GREAT energy in there. These things mean something to me.
The Strains? Golden Goat & Original Chem are my two favorites. If I had to pick 2 strains to roll with for the rest of my life, back and forth, it would be these two.
Killer Queen, Sweet Skunk (If you haven't at least SMELLED this, your pothead life is somewhat incomplete) FireWhite, oh man.
