View Full Version : Heaven and hell = Good trip and bad trip?

I had a revelation today. Dig this..

It is well known that when you die, your brain produces a massive amount of DMT, the dream drug, which you produce in small amounts every time you enter REM sleep.

Now, when you are tripping on any psychedelic, it's all about set and setting. The place you are in must be comfortable. The people you surround yourself with must be doubly so. But the most important part of a trip is that you have to be in a good mind set or the trip will turn on you. Anyone who has had a bad trip knows that once those thoughts are brought to the front of your consciousness, they manifest themselves in everything you experience. You are, to use a biblical word, tormented by this trip, for what seems like eternity.

Now think about it.. if you don't have a clear conscience when you die, all that shit is going to trip you out in the worst way possible when your system releases the DMT.

But if you have made peace with your wrongdoings, you get to experience oneness.. "heaven". The best trip ever. :hippy:

"And you know what Hell is, folks...it's Andy Gibb, singing Shadow Dancing for eons and eons, and you have to wear orange plaid bell bottoms, and sit next to the Bay City Rollers." ~ Denis Leary

That is a very good observation, for I have been to both heaven and hell and they were both wonderful places in hindsight. Although at the time hell was much more unpleasant. It makes very much sense that if you do indeed take a trip when you die that your current mindset will be your send-off.
