I have a plant 2 1/2 weeks into flowering and plenty of female flowers forming. Then this happens , two ball like something start forming at a lower internode (pic). What are those exactly ? Male preflowers ? or will this turn into male flowers. Is´nt the plant a little late if it is going to turn hermie and pollinate itself ??. These are the only ( balls ) on a two ft. plant. Can I just pluck them off ??

Does not look like balls. Not a hermie...at least we can't tell for sure yet. Leave it alone...it looks like a female to me. I get those on my females all the time!

Try and get a closer picture. Is there a little piece of stem connecting the little ball to the stem of the plant? That looks pretty similiar to what mine looked like a few weeks into flowering with my hermie. I tried cutting those little bastards off too, but some how the lower buds on the plant got pollinated still. Don't know how because the sacks hadn't opened yet. I guess one must have got past me or something. Anyway, try to get another better quality picture or pictures.

Then it is a calyx (female part) and you have nothing to worry about.

I cant get any better pics because of old camera and lousy macro setting.
There is a little piece of stem connecting to the plant but no pistil hairs coming out so I dont think its a calyx.

If it does turn out to be hermie, you can cut off the male parts. The plant will probably grow more and you will have to keep checking and removing them. If you miss any, it could polinate your plant or any other plants you have around. You have to decide if it is worth the risk.
