noob in need of help

K so I've never grown marijuana before, but due to the summer coming up I would like to be in plentiful supply. I do not regularly smoke pot usually (About once a month) but I am looking to grow 1 or 2 plants to get me through the summer (Probably going through about a 1/4 ounce per week for 2 and a half months) I need advice on a cheap, secret easy setup in my closet. The 'secret' part of that is very important. I know a little about growing but seeds are hard to come by where I'm from so i don't want to make a stupid mistake and waste them

Maybe I'm not understanding correctly but from what I gather, you smoke an ounce in one day, one time per month? :D

Anyways back to the question, you want 2.5oz by the beginning of June, and it needs to be cheap, easy and stealth, with 1 or 2 plants... sorry but it's not going to happen. Something has to give :(

Thanks dude. And generally i don't smoke one ounce in one day once a month haha, I usually go to parties and stuff ocasionally and just get rocked :P

And I don't mean exactly by june, but sometime between then and september. Also do I have to use specific soil or is that not very important? and can you possibly post a pic of when they are harvestable? Cause I'm not sure of when exactly to harvest.

Also does it matter what sex the plant is? And do you need a fan if you're using a cardboard box?

yes male plants dont produce buds they produce pollen sacks which will pollenate the females thus producing seeds in your bud so you want to get males out asap.females will show 2 little white hairs these are preflowers.to sex plants change the ligths to a 12/12 cycle.

I forgot to mention the fan yes you need one I've never shut mine off but I'm sure It wouldent hurt just don't have the fan directly on the plants blowing them over while there young.

Haha I won't, they found my last grow which was in a cardboard box, I'm gonna get a big closet thing big enough for two plants, put 2 locks on it and start again..... :jointsmile:

Not positive, but I think he meant not to grow in your parents house.

...before long... but you should be ok thru most of the Vegatative cycle.

And if you're only doing 1-2 plants, a CFL based grow should be possible (or LED if your budget permits)...

Have you obtained seeds yet? Or clones?

Read around the site for a while--there is a great amount of info here for the first time grower, as well as some very helpful people (but try to do some research before asking questions--many of the questions you have are already answered in the threads on the boards here)...

Sounds like your growing in your parents house. Which is a no, no. Read the rules of the sight young grasshopper. Better you not have smoke than your parents kicking you out, or worse lose their house.

...if that is the case, you've got to lay off until you're at least in your own apartment or somesuch...

unless you happen to live in a place like Holland or certain parts of BC where it's just about legal, and penalties have decreased markedly... or if you happen to be that lucky child of an 'underground farmer', and mommy or daddy has a 200 plant show in the basement... hmmm...

It would still be better if you did it in your own place..! And you have a duty not to imperil your parent's [and your OWN!] home in any case (it's in YOUR best interest, trust me!)...

Im pretty sure once they start flowering your parents will now no matter what you do
