why do the plants smell like cat piss?

a friend of mine noticed that her, plants smell like cat pee
or cat litter. i believe they are only a month and a couple days old

there are strains that do put off that smell tho ...if she does'nt have cats that may be why.

i have the cat piss smell on mine when they have a little too much nitrogen. A few years ago i asked my hydro guy why my plants were smelling of cat pee and he said it is ammonium nitrate which is used in high nitrogen fertilizers. If the plant is growing well then dont worry about it :thumbsup:

I am told that there is actually a strain called Cat Piss. It is also very similar to the super skunk smells. It is usually really good weed but hard to hide.

I went to a friends house who had a stash of cat piss/skunk KGB. You could smell the weed at the front door. When I went inside I saw that he had the weed stashed in several bags in a drawer in a back room. The entire house smelled like an open bag of killer weed. I was rolling a joint when my wife walked in. She took one smell and said the cat has pissed in here. But it was just the weed.

there is actually an old aztec tale of one "drippy the cat" who would supposedly visit all the small villages and drip his urine onto their all crops including cannabis, right at harvest time. the resulting crops smelled like cat piss but villagers believed consuming these crops gave their women 6 nipples, engorged breatstststss and vulvEA, AND also kick ass sand paper toungues. So theres a pretty good chance you were visted by this legend of aztec folklore and i recommend you give that shit to the nearest chick stat
