A little background info first. When I was thirteen I fractured my ankle, I went to the doctor then. Where they prescribed me pain pills and a walking boot and some crutches. 6 years later I had ankle surgery to remove some bone spurs and to lengthen up a tendon and add metal pins to hold said tendon to my ankle from the previous injury. I had to wear a walking boot for 6 months or so she said, which turned out to be about a year. During that year I had another surgery to remove said metal pins from my ankle because they fell down and where pinching a nerve causing extreme pain 10 out of 10. The whole time I was in there every time I complained about pain all they would do was prescribe me some percs, vics, oxy's, etc.

It has been about 2 years after my surgery and I cant live the active lifestyle I was before. My ankle has heeled up the best that I think it can. But I cannot live the physical life style I had before the surgery. Even going for a walk a half mile or longer just makes it completely sore and I need let it rest for a day or so.

I tried smoking weed about 6 months ago to try to relieve the pain and it really does help me deal with the pain in my ankle better then pain pill
I believe i fall under the RCW 69.51A.010
(b) Intractable pain, limited for the purpose of this chapter to mean pain unrelieved by standard medical treatments and medications

My question is how would I go about getting my MMC? Do I have to go talk to my current doctor about it? Or should i get my medical records and try a different doctor such as one in the little nickle?

I have done a bit of research on this and I am just confused. A little help is greatly appreciated.
