Lets help some new patients out and list our favorite dispensaries.

Platte Valley dispensary- Some of the nicest and coolest people I have met in Colorado. Some top shelf strains at a $50 cap. Just got a 4 gram eight of some really nice sour D for $40 an eighth. This place also gets an extra star for being in walking distance from my apartment.

CCF- I know it seems like most people on this board cant stop saying good things about this dispensary but seriously this place is the real deal. No matter what strain you pick you will always be satisfied. The erkle og, blue cheese x vanilluna, key lime og, andjilly bean(especially the jillybean, I have tried almost every top shelf og and kush in cali and this ranks up there with some of the best tasting medicine I have ever had.) are some of the best strains i have had in Colorado. Not to mention the lower tier strains are really reliable too. I picked up an OZ of the skunk #1 at a really good deal ($275) and have been impressed how every week it seems to get better. The staff is always super helpful and nice and when I have the money this is the place I prefer to go.( I hope next time I go here I can get some sort of sour bubble or sour bubble cross)

Enough of my ranting, what other clinics would you recommended:rasta: to fellow patients?

CCF always has some of the best smelling and tasting herb I have ever experienced but find their prices alittle over what I can spend on a regular basis. It is the first place I go it I want something special, like that extra expensive bottle of wine for a birthday or special occasion.

I have found Herbal Connections in Cherry Creek to be excellent. Great prices and quality medicine. The place is extremely professional looking, the staff is helpful, professional, and have above average knowledge. It's the type of place that as a female, that I feel totally confortable going into alone. The location is in Glendale so you can even vap on site.

Ofcourse Delta 9 is excellent and I know CAM was quality but I have not gone there for several months. If you have the time and want a nice drive Nederland is always an option. Folks up there know what they are doing so price and quality is great.

Yeah I'm the same way... I hadn't really been into CCF at all, but my visit a week or so ago made it one of my definite spots to get exotic strains that will really deliver in the taste/smell.high categories. But yeah, I cringe at paying more than $50 for an 8th, even for that level of quality. The "special occasion wine" comparison is perfect.

My favorite shop all things considered is Pure. The facility is so nice and professional-looking, it's close to me, the prices are THE BEST in town for that quality (for god's sakes tell me if there's another place with that kind of herb for less than $45, but I sure as hell haven't found it), and it's great to talk with a knowledgeable guy like Frank on a consistent basis, since they don't have a ton of random employees who may or may not know what they're talking about. The testing and the number of in-house strains are a definite plus, as is the new edible kitchen. I love how many extracts, tinctures, and types of hash they have (again, good prices), and the free pre-roll that comes with every 8th is just icing on the cake. I don't know of anywhere else that I can leave with 2 very quality strains split into an 8th and a free (large) joint for $44.98. Ridiculous. And they take CREDIT CARDS! I hate carrying a bunch of cash around and live off my debit card, so it's super annoying to have to pay via cash.

And I don't think I'll ever get tired of smoking Stevie Wonder... it's seriously the tastiest strain I have right now, and I love the calm but productive Sativa high. I just smell the jar sometimes because it's like tropical aromatherapy. After I polish off this SAGE x Warlock bowl, I'm gonna get into some more of that...

The Grasshopper on Federal is my other favorite shop and I'll go there as long as they're around. They were my first favorite shop and they're still tops. Super nice people, very laid-back atmosphere (not like a medical office, which is a nice change these days), and most importantly top-quality herb (most of it in-house or through their organic co-op friends) for $48/8th all the time. They also do their house strains on special when they have a lot of them around, so you can get some VERY quality Martian Mean Green, Chocolope, CO Confidential, etc. for $35/8th or so if you watch their specials on CraigsList. MMG is on special this weekend at $35 and it's a killer Sativa. No credit cards though, but they said they're working on that once they get their official Denver license.

My other favorite shop is Native's Choice of Colorado downtown. They have the same $48 cap on 8ths and also have top quality and very friendly, laid-back people. They do almost everything in-house (15 strains on the regular) and most of it is organic... their vendor strains (only 4 or 5 normally) are very good looking and generally come from their friends, etc. rather than outside vendors. The only thing I donnt really like is the pre-weighing system, though they allow you to choose which bag you want. I've gotten shorted and gotten as much as 0.4 g extra with the system... though I've only been shorted once and they've been heavy plenty of times. I just like seeing the scale action still, it's just ingrained into my brain. They also have a nice selection of literature, can order (and I think will stock soon) TGA Subcool seeds, and have good prices on glass as well. Their strains are very consistent, and their Hong Kong is something special, as is their Crystal Cavern/Grapefruit, which are related to one another and extremely frosty. No credit cards, though they're also working on that apparently.

I pretty much measure other shops against these three (four including CCF as an overall quality gauge). Most have higher prices and/or lower quality overall (for the price), so these places are where I end up when I'm getting something personal that I just wanna smoke and may or may not review. Plus they're all just very friendly, nice people, so I enjoy stopping by every time... feels more like a community when everyone knows your name and seems to genuinely care. I'm in love with strains from all of them and wish I had the money and time to smoke as many of them as I wanted, seems like I'm always missing out on something awesome.

grateful meds, hands down biggest selection & best prices. it may be a little bit of a drive, but if you are like us and smoke allot, stock up.

Has anyone been to the place in Loveland that advertises 40 strains of clones?

I think THC is in a category all its own.

Granted I hardly make it there due to the location, but location aside I don't think anyone comes close to THC. The quality here is top-notch and they have a large selection grown by experienced mountain growers. The quality is similar to CCF all around, but its only $40 an eighth. And although you won't find as many Cali genetics in their all soil, organic lineup, you will find a bunch of cool strains from all over... A landrace Mazar strain, X18 pakistani, blackberry kush, SSH x C99, etc.

I like Grateful meds and their prices are great, but I've gotten a lot of mediocre stuff there (and some great stuff). A lot of that stuff wouldn't even be let in the door at THC.

Check em out! There's a reason they call them the caregiver of caregivers. Also, I think I heard somewhere that they will be operating out of a new location? Not surprising as any of you who've been up there know that the dispensary was previously in a residential dwelling.

Also, I must say to take caution if you get clones here. Mine came with some pests (RA), but if I would've taken proper precautions then maybe they wouldn't have been much of a problem. They do have some sweet genetics (monkfish, phnom penh, shiva Hawaiian sativa, etc.) that you probably won't find anywhere else unless you've got grower friends!

For what it's worth, there's at least 6 dispensaries using the acronym THC...

I am assuming you are talking about The High Country in Rollinsville, if that is the case your are soooo correct.

Great meds there and wonderful prices but the location is not very convient and you really have to consider weather conditions. After all you have to go pretty deep on dirt roads to get there. Also they are by appointment only last I heard.

When I went to THC I went with my son and was very glad I was not alone. Its more like going to your friendly neighborhood drug dealer than a dispensary.

Everybody was very nice there, Aran was not around, but it was far from professional. It was not just that it was in a residence but the entire experience was very, well... laid back.

My experience at THC was not bad but I doubt I will make the trip up there again just for meds. If I am in Blackhawk or something I might pop up but its just not worth the 4 hours or so round trip. Again no complaints about the prices or meds, both were way above average, but the experience was not something that I as a middle aged woman am comfortable with.

Great point Reenster! And so true.

I didn't realize ever that women may be uncomfortable in some of these places, and I don't blame them. Not until my GF got her card did I even think of this.

I agree THC isn't the most professional place, but I think they are trying to fix that too by getting a new location. Right now, from what I've heard, their stuff is only availably through another dispensary in Rollinsville until they get a spot.

Aran is a really helpful and friendly dude. Too bad you didn't get to work with him. Hopefully they get a new storefront set up so then it will feel a little more professional!

Its true...

Aran and company now refer you to they're buddies place down the street, right under the grocery and liquor store called mountain meds. The guy who runs it Terry is a nice enough guy and has pretty good meds but its nothing like the selection and quality that Aran has right up the way. The good part is that Aran will send any of his stains down for you to pick up as long as you know exactly what you want.

I could understand why Aran doesn't want to conduct things out of the house anymore, but I will not be making another trip up there until he gets his own place. Having me go to some other guy for his stuff was just too much on an inconvenience for me.

Glad to know that.

Any idea on when they'll be getting their own place?

If I ever venture out of our shop, I'm usually headed to Urban Dispensary. I'm not huge on the aesthetics of a shop, just the quality of the buds. They usually deliver.

Breck Loft has some of the highest quality i have seen. They definatley have the best selection of top quality hash. I went in yesterday and they had a display case full of 20 different kinds of hash, what a beautiful site. I dont remember seeing that much good hash even in amsterdam! They have a lot of good flowers, several kinds of kush, diesel, purples, chemdawgs, headbands etc. Everything smells great. They have even been working on pricing to bring high quality at a fair price. Check these guys out if you want to see quality and good smells.
