Chris Romer does not deserve the podium at any MMJ event. He's a two faced liar that has taken advantage of the MMJ community and is a grandstanding liar who makes mmj patients feel good at events, then he goes to the legislature to do the opposite.

Is he being paid for his appearance?

Just my opinion of course.

Yea I could have sworn I just read an article on denver post about him being against MMJ, and saying it causes psychosis and especially in young adults blah blah blah. The article is titled "We must regulate medical Marijuana"

Yea I did - just checked. It was posted yesterday, written by Romer himself and a psych dr. Christian Thurston.
Now don't confuse yourself if you check out this article - there was another posted today by a dr. FOR MMJ titled "HOW to Regulate Medical Marijuana."

Read the article by Romer and see how two-faced he is. He is saying things all over the board - if you are for MMJ, he will say what you want to hear. If you are against, he will say what you want to hear, thereby ensuring everyone votes for him. Slick. So he is going to MMBA meeting to say what?

giving him the stage is contrary to the cause, as he lies and leaves people feeling better about where he stands and what's next. This pacifies the grass-roots movement, and does not encourage people to become involved.
