Hello all,

Since this is my first grow, I figure I would post it up here for imput and to help others out. The grow is in the second week of flowering now so I will catch everyone up. Colorado Amendment 20 Legal.

Here is what I am working with:

400 Watt MH (Veg)
400 Watt HPS (Flower)
3'x3'x5' Grow Box (Homemade)
265 CFM Hydrofarm exhaust fan
Roots Organic Formula 707 Soil
Fox Farms Tiger and Big Bloom (Only ferts used. Flower only)

Here's a little timeline of the grow so far:

March 1 : Unknown Bag seed began germination.
March 5 : Shiva Skunk Clones were purchased
March 24: Mature clones and bagseed was placed into flowering.
April 4 : Unknown plant was pulled (Sad to do, but growing nuts is not a good thing)
April 6 : Searching for some clones now...

Little More in Detail:

Vegetation: (March 5 - March 23)

- Shiva Skunk clones and unknown seed (one week old on march 5) were placed in vegetative stage. The lights were kept on for 19 hours a day and left off for five. I know it seems weird, but it worked out great.

- The Shiva Skunks were never feed any fertilizers during the vegetative stage. They were only given water. The nutrients in the soil were plenty to promote the growth I was looking for.

- I wanted to experiment a little bit on the unknown seed so I gave it a diluted solution of one part fresh urine to five parts water. I did this a total of two times throughout the two weeks of vegetation. (Honestly, I will do this again. I know there is much debate over the use of urine, but it is great. I saw fast lush growth using the urine on the unknown plant.)

Flowering (March 24 - April ?)

- The two Shiva Skunks and the unknown plant were moved into the flowering room. I did not give them any fertilizers on their first day in flower.

- Starting the second day, Every other watering, I water with Fox Farms Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom.

- April 3 The unknown plant turned out to be male. I should have used a bag to find sex in vegetation, but hell I still am a noob. That was my mistake.

- As of April 7 the Shiva skunks are showing their young buds. They look pretty tasty.

Ok, Ill let some pictures do the talking now. There is so much more I could write about the process so if you have any questions or imput for me, please feel free to ask.

Ok sorry for the delay...

Here is some pictures from day 17 in flower. I am going to try and get a hold of some mylar to put inside of the grow box. The buds look a little small. I'm thinking that with a generic 400hps and unreflective walls, the plants might not be getting as much light as I would like them to get.

They got their food last night. Some of the fan leaves are turning yellow. Is this something that I should be concerned about?

The plants look healthy as far as I can tell. I've had fan leaves that don't get any light turning brown and dropping off of the bottom of the plant. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Alright, I realize that I am not the best at keeping these online logs so pardon me. Here are some picture that I gathered from day 30 of flower. Shiva's are supposed to put most of their weight on in the last two weeks of flower (so i've read). Anyone with experience with this strain?

* I also put mylar in the box a while ago. I saw a noticable difference within a couple of days.

well let me know what you think.
