If it's air tight how are you getting fresh air to the plants?
How are you supplying CO2?
Nice looking plants.

Thanks
airtight as in only air in and out is thru vents... no leaks from corners etc.
implying that theres a good seal/vacuum. helps to get every bit of air exhausted to filter; love the smell, but dont like my place smellin like a hot pound all the time :D
not usin Co2

Well, if I read this correctly, you are gonna put a 1000W light into a box less than 2ftx2ftx2ft...
Do you realize that 1000w light will give off 3000 - 4000 BTU's of HEAT? With those tiny fans in there, the only thing you could do with that box is keep hot dogs nice and hot.
My friend, I don't want to hurt your feelings, but 1000w light will need to be 18 inches from the top of the plants. There is just not enough room in there for that size of light. Besides, there would be no way to keep the temperature moderate enough for healthy plants to live.

Thanks for the advice SN, but ya its a 100 W HPS. i was thinking a 70w, but i think i can get away with 100 W. there will be 2 x 50cfm fans solely dedicated to the bulb, as well as using a DIY cool tube.
-gonna stack the fans on the exhaust.. or should i put one blowing across and one exhausting.....
My other grow was hoggin a couple cpu fans, but since i pulled it yesterday, i hope to have time to transfer to this grow:thumbsup:
Ill try to keep a weekly log or so during flower. screens fillin up atm.
Thanks for lookin out sdg and toon.

Hey demo, thanks
ya, i think ive seen as small as a 35w hps:D
the ballast is in the pic, its right above the bulb connected to the medium base...pretty small, but i wanted to max efficiency in the cab
under 2 sq ft - bulb puts out around 6500 lumens i think

Looks like a nice grow. I'm wondering what the grid thing above the plants is for?
Thanks

Hey Bud
its a screen that forces the plants to grow horizontal, and not grow into the light:thumbsup: also creates an even canopy of tops so they will get the best chance at light.
do a search on ScrOG > Screen Of Green
there will be many examples

Still doin its beginning of flower stretch, and ive lost count of the tops  at least 17
the topped plant is showing female; hopefully theyll make up for last round and ill end up with 2 fem's :D
any branches that didnt make the screen were turned into clones. Fan leaves are left til they fall off. hoping to have 1 steady FEM mom and 1-2 flowering plants :rastasmoke: no more seeds lol
Cleaned and changed res. with first dose flowering nutes > 0-8-16 (g-m-b)
looks like two different types: one has stayed a dark green while the other has a lime green tint. combined smell is awesome:rasta: thick strong smell, almost like coffee grounds :rastasmoke:
Having to train them everyday
--pic 1 & 2 > before it was trained today
--3 & 4 are after

Any tips on the scrog technique? Very nice grow and good luck on the grow plus on your yield.
Peace

Thanks 420, ill need it
Well this is my first try at ScrOg, but i can tell you what i have done so far..
I let the plants grow free until about the fourth-fifth set of alternating branches appeared.
Then i positioned the screen so that it sat on the set of fan leaf branches 1-2 nodes down from the top; and allowing the top of the plant to stick thru an inch or two. then i fastened the screen into place.
Now, you just push the top under the screen, to the next available hole. this will cause the side branches to reach the screen. Continue to train all branches as they grow to far past the screen. after about 2 weeks flower, they should slow down on branch growth.
Now, if its an unknown strain, u could begin flowering as soon as u reached the screen, as the amount of stretch is unknown during flower. This will allow you to see how much the plant will strech, as well as how much of the screen will be filled. I waited til 25% was filled, which may have been too late :wtf:
Too late > tops will grow past screen too much before they start flowering
*I would have liked to put the screen a little lower, but the plant grew faster than i gathered supplies
*I also compared a topped plant to normal one, and it seems the topped plant bushed outward too much for MY grow ( < 2 sq ft )
Hope this makes sense :stoned::stoned::stoned:

Still growin strong, and BOTH ARE FEMALES  however i see my mistakes may cause problems pretty soon ...
1> let it grow too long before hitting the screen
2> 2 plants is one too many for the box
3> Flowered too late
hopefully i can continue to squeeze the branches side by side :wtf:

Aye Captain ....... I think you gonna need a bigger box

You are on day 12 hopefully it wont stretch much more. Your box is going to explode. It looks really cool. We will just hope its almost done stretching.
I like how you say the day you are on in the title of your posts, I am always reading posts and wondering what day people are on.

So I've been going back and forth on whether to scrap this grow and start over..
The girls have grown into all the free space, and now grow off the side lighting instead of below lol.
But since the Mom i started off of them is still too young, i guess ill finish these out. Definitely Sativa Dom, doesnt look to finish till about 9.5-10 weeks. only keeping a mom off the dark green plant.. Grew stronger and faster..also has cool purple veins goin down the stems
I cant take the tub out anymore, as the other half of the plants would bend and snap across the lamp/ducting.. so now i syphon-feed from above.
Im thinkin either two SOG plants, or one ScrOG plant for my next (and first) grow from clone
Pics from a week ago, ya they suk.

Ya, kinda neglected the log here at the end, but i did take pics.
The first few are after i cut away the stems and dropped the screen down to see what grew... and it was a lot
Didnt get technical with the exact numbers, but was a decent yield and smoke.
Will be starting a new Sog Log
