Guys:

I have two grows (soil) under my belt and have made decision to go hydro. Looking for ideas on a setup that is pretty simple but will be a good system for what I have. Here's what I have to work with

1) dedicated bedroom with an 8 x 8 x 6 grow tent in it. Need to stay in the grow tent.

2) 600 watt (HPS), 400 watt (HPS) and 126 watt (LED) panel

3) Vent and fan

4) Veg closet

If you can show me pictures of setups or links to good grow logs, etc.. Looking to grow 6 to 8 plants from clones. Again trying to keep it SIMPLE. Mother plants almost ready. :)

Again pics/links/ideas appreciated

click on my profile. You will see my tent grow, and my veg room...Nice to replicate and I was running about 12 plants in flower on average.

Welcome and let us know how we can help!

Thanks for the feedback. Could not see your grow room from your profile. What size room/tent do you have to grow 12 plants? How many lights for 12 plants? :)

Marty:

Saw your pics from your Blue Dream epic grow, to say the least NICE setup.

Quick question and if you do not mind me asking...what did you spend on that hydro setup? Just cost for hydro, tray, pumps, etc.. I have all the lights. Looking for a good setup for just 6 to 8 plants. Again, great setup you have. :)

I recommend a brain bucket system, or at least that's what I think its called. The system consists of up to 12 2-3 gallon buckets. Each bucket is really two buckets, one holding the expanded clay with many little holes on the bottom to allow the water to rise up and the other has a hose attached and floods every few hours submersing the expanded clay in hydro juice. I like it because the buckets are cheap to buy at home depot and the fittings are cheap at the hydro shop. Its easy to rig another bucket and add it to the line. You only need to make a brain bucket to fill the others. I made my own with an old bucket, it cost me 3 dollars to make, I just bought the 1/2 inch rubber grommets to stick into the buckets and put a 1-1/2 over flow drain at the point I want the water level to stop rising. My brain is gravity drained, so only one pump is needed, but a store bought brain is better cause is can sit on the floor with the reservoir, mine has to be above the water line on the res so it can drain.
