known it forever bredah.. just got cought up about 6 years ago, got really really stressed out, grubbed a smoke on the street, next thing I knew I walked into the corner store, bought a pack, and been buying packs since then. Tried to quit last year with the patches but they give me a shooting pain from my shoulder to my finger tips, couldn't hack it..
I feel so good now that I quit, but god damn sense of smell returning, shit been bugging me out, trash cans in the house being emptied every time i enter the room and no idea how much febreeze being used here haha

An Australian professor has warned religious groups that cigarette filters may contain traces of pig's blood.
Simon Chapman said recent Dutch research has identified 185 different industrial uses for a pig - including the use of haemoglobin in cigarette filters.
The University of Sydney professor said the study offered an insight into the world of cigarette manufacturing and was likely to spark concerns for devout Muslims, Jews and Rastafarians.
Concerns: Dutch research has found that the haemoglobin in pig's blood is used by some tobacco manufacturers in cigarette filters
'I think that there would be some particularly devout groups who would find the idea that there were pig products in cigarettes to be very offensive,' he said.
'The Rastafarian community certainly takes these matters extremely seriously and the Islamic community certainly do as well, as would many vegetarians.
'It just puts into hard relief the problem that the tobacco industry is not required to declare the ingredients of cigarettes - they say "that's our business and a trade secret".'
The research found pig haemoglobin - a blood protein - was being used to make the filters more effective at blocking toxic chemicals before they entered a smoker's lungs.
Professor Chapman said that although some tobacco companies had voluntarily published a list of the contents in their cigarettes on websites, they also noted undisclosed 'processing aids' in the finished product.
At least one brand of cigarettes sold in Greece has been confirmed to be using pig haemoglobin in its manufacturing processes, he added.
Professor Chapman said: 'If you're a smoker and you're of Islamic or Rastafarian faith then you'd probably want to know and there is no way of finding out.' they wont tell you

Wow man, that's some fucked up shit. You know with all this high level government and corporation bullshit, the secrets and shit that's really going on.. makes me realize that the Nazi's never really left, they just moved over to America for the Fourth Reich. And it's true. Prescott Bush funded the Nazi's. Look it up. That is a non-debatable motion.

Hey man, I haven't smoked a cigarette since X-mas 09. I gots me one of those E-ciggies and made it work. I had been smoking for 5 years and it was hitting me hard. I haven't gotten any tests to see if I have caused permanent damage, but if I hadn't, I didn't want to see what it was like to have done something substantial. So I substituted the Nicotine source and gave it my all. So far, I have gone on two 4+ hr car rides(there and back, so a total of about 16 hours) with smokers, and I have still fought the craving. I still have thoughts of smoking a cigarette, but its more of a memory rather than a desire. You have to want to not smoke, I thought I had wanted to stop smoking before, but I wasn't serious enough with myself. Now, honestly, I feel amazing, and not physically, even though I do feel light-years better everyday, but I know I can accomplish any mother-fucking thing ever man. Cigarettes are a huge addiction, that millions of people can never conquer, but I did. Its an amazing feeling. Now, don't get me wrong, I smoke like a chimney, but marijuana has 10% the harmful chemicals and actually has beneficial effects, unlike tobacco, and it helped me through the addiction. You can do it man, just know you can.

yup, my Family was the driving force behind getting I act together, especially being a Single Father. Thinking about having to check out early, what gonna happen to my kids in that case, I mean, I'm not a single father because the baby Mother is a sparking example of what a mother should be.... :D

yes, congrats to you both! It's a very hard habit to break! I've been a cigarette smoker since my teens. It's a filthy habit! I've gotten it down to where a pack can last me 2-3 days....usually when i'm stressed, after a doobie or if I'm drinking! I hope to join you guys soon and be completely nicotine free! Good job!

Right after me and my girlfriend quit smoking cigarettes, college started back up and her mother fell and broke her neck(i think they fused c5-c7?) but anyways, that was a test man. Having to go to class, come home, help her, or calm her down, and then do it again, all the while thinking, man, I could just calm down a bit with a stoogie. But nope, we stayed to it, so I know I'm not gonna fall back in.
