This is my first time growing, and my plants seem small. I have a 70 F watt * 12 lighting system with two hun kush in begging stages of growth! The left one is about a month old and the second is about 3 weeks. I put in the new lighting about 3 weeks ago when I learned that I needed more light. I had a 80 watt F and the stems grew really long and just stop growing. Restarted about 4 weeks and this is what I have now! The one on the left has many leafs but very small, nothing like what I see on here!

Well i can tell you that the size of your pots are a bit big, but they will fill out when the roots are stable. Also, im not getting what you are using for lights. I believe your plants the first time died because the light isn't close enough to the plant, so the stem reaches to get the light it needs, but when they stretch that long the stems just drop over and after that, there pretty much dead. I would move your light closer to your plants to make sure it doesnt happen again. The seedling is reaching to absorb what it needs from the light and when its close enough, it will stop. But you want your lights, if your using cfl's, 2-3 inches away from your plants. Also i would have a thermometer in there so you can keep track of the heat at the canopy, or top of your plant. If you only using 70 watts, your going to need more once they start to get bigger. CFL'S work well with low heat. My 4 plant grow took 278 watts, but i was happy at the end and some people are using 1000watts and more. Just to give you an idea. I think moving your lights closer will help a lot.

Good luck:rasta:

They are tiny. I do agree on the clairity of what your lighting is? It's 70F?? what is that??:wtf:

Is that just yard dirt they are in?

Here are mine(first try) at one month. One is LST'd the other natural. They were vegged about 8 weeks. Then the third and fourth pics are last week at 32 days flowering.

I used CFLs and T12 tubes to veg. The tubes are 2300K, then four 23w 5000K CFLs, and three 27w 6500K CFLs.

I'm flowering under a 1000w HPS. Just to give you an idea of what we want to see in terms of what lights your using:thumbsup:

I am using a Megaman BRO211P Plant Light system! Here a link to the specs!

http://www.megaman.cc/var/files/share/products/booklets/2009/Energy_Efficient_Lamps_Collection/21-PLANT-LAMP.pdf

Could anyone please read the specs because I don't know and its kind of hard for me to learn this right now!

I have 12 of them; The light bulbs, I bought the system on amazon from the UK.

I was thinking it might be the dirt, I did not want to transplant because this is my first time. So I was thinking not to transplant, maybe I should! Does it that I do this or not.

Yeah thats what I learned so I bought this new lighting system!

http://www.megaman.cc/var/files/share/products/booklets/2009/Energy_Efficient_Lamps_Collection/21-PLANT-LAMP.pdf

The room stays at about 70 because its in the water heater room, the window stays open to vent and breath "Good air movement".

I did not think about the pot size, maybe this is the reason for the size of the leafs.
I moved the lights to where they are now and they are really close to the lights. they can not be any closer or they will touch. THe pot size sounds like a sound reason, or because I have not transplanted, can you get away without doing this!

I found this site and started reading everything I could find when my seeds popped. I wanted to know exactly what conditions would optimize my first grow. Then every day I read every new post hunting for anything I hadn't already read. Then I re-read everything in other threads and books. If I found ANY issue at any time I hunted down the answer and corrected the issue, OR posted a thread about it.

I'm proof that this site can help a noob grow like a pro!

Now on those lights.

Like I told you before I used mostly CFLs(which is what your using). Although I used 23W and 27w with a total of 333w (or 1100w equivalent). Putting out 17900 lumens.

It looks like the bulbs you are using are only 11w each. With twelve of them your total wattage is 132w, (or 600w equivalent). Although the PAR chart on them looks great. The amount of light is VERY WEAK!

Just like with my CFLs they loose in the intensity area. Thus to be effective your lighting needs to be within a couple inches of the leaves to avoid stretch and keep the lumens where you want them.

I keep mine about 2 inches above the top leaves. Plus I have about double your output.

BACK TO THAT SOIL, WHAT IS THAT!!:wtf:

I don't know what it is, I bought it from the store here! I think I am going to find some costly soil to use.

I little info note: I am living over seas and finding stuff like back home is hard to do! thats why I have to order stuff online. Soil is not one of them, I know paying more does not really make a difference but its the only measure that I have right now!

Then you should mix your own. What your plants are in looks dense, and I doubt it drains the way you'd want it to. There are many threads about mixing your own soil as well. Or you can look on Fox farms and try to re-create that. However WHAT you have it in, and what nutes are in the soil could be playing a HUGE role in why it's not growing any faster.

Ok the pic above are about 2 weeks old. here are some from today! the second pair of leafs are really long, they are making the first set hang or point down, is this correct!
