Just got outa jail for Growin in florida

Soo the other nite me n my buddies were drinkin at my house n a friend of mine who sells weed told every1 hell roll up a blunt for every1 if they go out n get some chickens n bring em back to my house n i live in SouthFlorida but kinda ina country town i got 5 horses myself so 4 of em go out n get chickens n im sleeping w/ my girlfriend the hole time n next mornin wile im at a job interview i here cops are at my friends house n as im coming home theres a few at my house so i dont go home cuz rite were the chickens were i had 7 plants about 6 in n 1 plant about 10 - 11 in n one about 1 ft to - 1ft1/2 n they obviously see em rite next to my room to wich the door was wide open n cops poke there head in n see a bong chillin mean wile im at a friends house wit my girl smokin outside till a cop pokes his head over the fence cuz no1 had been answerin the door sooooooo i go to jail for bout 2 days n now my court date is in about 6 weeks its my first major offense i had a paper arresst when i was like 13 for pullin a fire alarm but thats it n im only 18 sooo what do u think will happen

looks like some hard time coming your way. no not really, they just gonna want to get in your pockets and put you on paper for a while. If they offer some longterm probation as opposed to 30 days I"d consider doing the short stay, fuck probation, they can and will show up at your house anytime they please. But you ought to have a feel for the system in your parts, ask some friends.

i dont live in the same state but i got busted at the beginning of the year with over 100 plants, i can give you a little insight as to what might happen...first of all, spend some cash and hire your own lawyer as he knows m ore about your state laws than i do....your first courtdate is to tell the court that you are hiring a lawyer or to plead guilty or not guilty....go with lawyer... then shut up and let your lawyer do your talking for you...i would say a lawyer will cost $2-5000...if you have no prior record than you will more than likey be able to medigate your charges and you will be on the bottom end of the punishment scale...my guess is that they will give you a suspended sentence of some sort and make you do probation for a year and a half or so, mess up and expect to serve that time...also if your state has marijuana tax than expect to have to pay that...NORML will tell you if your state does..you have to pay or you go to jail...but if you go to jail you dont have to pay it... you can also have your lawyer get the case continued as few times which could be a year before you really see a courtroom...

if it turns out to be a short sentence (6 months or so) then my advice would be to go and do the time, save the money that you would spend on the court fees, probation fees, penalties and every other dime that the system is going to bleed out of you... probation can be a pain... they can show up whenever but unless on house arrest i wouldnt worry about that to much, they will call and let you know IF you have to be there...and they can search without a warrant as you lose that right as a probate...

and smoke everyday as much as you can until convicted.....then stop....play it safe and playball...dont try and cheat the system because you will more than likely get caught...then you waste time, money and still go to jail..when you could have just gone to jail in the first place...i saw a guy this morning at my PO actaully get caught with a whizzinator...

hope this helps but this is just my guess... i have not been convicted yet of all my charges for growing so its hard for me to say....the only thing i do know is that you should be 90% less worried than me...and mine will come with manditory minimums...last thing i can say...if you ever decide to grow only 8 plants again....get a hps light and do it indoors...tell no one and you have nothing to ever worry about....not in the backyard....best of luck to you
