PPP should I thin them?

I am a first time grower, and didn't quite know what to expect. My grow room is 8' x 8'. half devoted to 7 PPP and the other half to my white widow. All are under 4 400watt hps.
I am one month into flower, and my PPP are exploding! 27" to 32" high and bushy as all get out. I went 12/12 when they where 14 to 16 inches.
What I am wondering is should I thin out the mid and lower foliage to allow light and air? The leaves are all green and for the most part healthy, except for some limpness in the lower leaves. Or will they naturally drop the lower shaded leaves on their own. Some have been topped, some fimmed and two left alone, as I wanted to see which method produced the the most.
I am just kind of worried that all that dense foliage might be a problem later on. I do have very good ventiation, so I am not too worried about mold. And so far I have had no bugs at all. Pray it stays that way. I do know from reading other posts that dense foliage can be a sorce of mold or bugs.
Any suggestions? Or should I just let them be?

I trimmed out all of my "sappers"(little, thin, no light branches), about two weeks ago, I thought I was a little late doing that too. However I'm at four weeks flower on MY first grow as well.

Is the pic you posted of yours AT 4 weeks flowering??

I have grown that strain for a couple years and have found that it responds well to LST. I tie mine over and let them grow vertically as well as horizontally. The yields are fantastic and you can rest assured that you'll probably grow this winner from now on.

That seems odd to me. I have two plants three week into flower and they look SO much different. I'm not sure I can see ANY buds in your pic??:wtf:

3 wks and no flowers, are they flowering yet? And what does PPP stand for?

Pure Power Plant = PPP. It's primarily derived from South African genetics .Frankly speaking ,it is probably the overall easiest and best yielding plant out there ,or at least one of the top strains with regards to that criteria.

nice looking plant! I didn't lst my PPP, however I did top and fim them as I mentioned. They definately have flowers on them now, and just starting to get a little frosting to them.
I know I have at least two different phenos of this plant as one was shorter and bushier, with wider leaves than the rest, more like an indica. I have just been removing any leaves that lack vigor or looked unhealthy, mostly shaded leaves on the bottom, which has been minimal.
I was just wondering if I should be more vigorous in my trimming at this point. I've just been going by the 'if it aint broke, don't fix it' rule.
They are in 5 gal pots in organicare soil, and seem to be liking it just fine. Organic nutes and supliments.

So: Do I trim or not? Should I be worried about overcrowding?

I notice that scrog and sog grows are all extremely crowded, So I guess just leaving them be is my best option, unless the experts convince me otherwise.
