i am not positive, but i think your employer is the one who gets the results. remember, no news is good news. if you do fail, i believe you are allowed to ask for a copy of the test.

they were hiring a group of 12 for a training class that starts on Monday 3-22 and when I was picking up my chain of custody form she was counting out loud "okay, today is thursday, so we should have that back monday". then i got a call this past monday from the recruiter asking if i had my chain of custody form. the lab tech had written down my SSN wrong and they needed to search for it by specimen no. after that i didn't hear anything until she called to give me all the details for my start date. so, not really 48 hours, but two business days is what i really should have said...
are you going to have to do random UA's? if so, what are your thoughts on how you are going to be ready for them. trying to figure it all out, i have never been tested for a job before and this is a good one, don't want to lose it.

The one who pays for the test is the one who gets the results. Does no good to call and only sets off alarm bells.
Usually takes 3 business days. Never call employer about UA, again sets off alarm bells. But you can ask if you have a start date, then they might volunteer a little info about whats going on.
