I have been using seed for a good long while now for every grow. I select a choice female and a strong male and set them aside for their own love making. I use those seeds for everything.
I'm sort of tired of having to go through the flower process to determine who is male/female. It's wasted time. So, I tried cloning because every video I've seen says it's not as hard as people make it out to be. Well, of the 20 clones I took. 20 died.

Does anyone have a kick ass video of how to properly clone?

what method are you using?

make an aerocloner. costs under $50.

other hints
1. use the lowest branches on the plant.
2. include at least three nodes, cut everything off lower 2
3. recut, under water, at a 45 degree angle, then place in aero cloner
4. use no powders or gells or nutes. Adjust ph to 6.0
5. make cuttings before you put the plant into flower.

My biggest problem was always with humidity, no dome = no roots.

I just cut a branch that's 2 or more nodes plus the tip, recut the bottom at 45 degrees, take off all leaves except the top node and growth tip, stick it in a solo cup half full of soil making sure there's plenty of contact between the soil and stem (packed slightly), water & mist it, place baggie over top of cup and put a rubberband around to keep it on. Then in a few days I'll pop off the baggie, mist again, and replace the bag. After a week or so I start taking the bag off for longer periods of time, misting & replacing it if the cutting starts to wilt. This works for me & friends I've shown it to 100% of the time now, rooting hormone or not.

Hope it helps, it's not a video though. Main thing is when you get something to work, remember what you did & try to replicate it each time.

Listen to redtails, hes got a real good method written there. you dont need us for a link to a video, google it, type in jorge cervantes or other reputable growers. I was kinda confused reading your description on how you did your clones. you lost all 20? that is rough man. moment of silence for the unborn. Did you use rooting hormone? did you have a humidity dome of some kind? I mean humidity has to be high to develop roots. Use your lower branches, count down 3 nodes, cut stem at a 45 degree angle, recut under water, dip in cloning solution, cover, uncover every so often to get fresh air circulating, and voila you should see roots in no more than 10 days. do you have any pics?

home made aero setup. no dome, just set the ph and let them grow. took 10 cuts all 10 rooted. no yellowing of leaf and when tranplanted they take off very fast.

camaro. Make me a mother fucin list of what i need to build that rubbermade areosprayer you have in that picture and cost, those look marvelous, i usually stick to the soil method though, can you transplant those clones into soil, or are you aero all the way through flower

this is the cheapest and most hassle free way of cloning....with this method you can go soil or hydro when they root!

get a Tough Guard tub they dont leak around the edges. 5-10 bucks
submersible pumps like a pond pump 300 gph or so. 15-20 bucks
pvc pipe, 3 T's, and 4 90's i used 1/2'' maybe 10 bucks for all of it
micro spray nozels from lowes or home depot got red caps and blue bottem. i think they where 4 bucks for a pack of 10. i used 20 in my setup but alot of guys get away with less of them.
neoprene plug .25 each
so we will say 55 bucks.
I took cuts at 45 degree angle about 3-4 nodes. striped the lower two sets and pull the lowest one down so it pills the skin off the lower part of the stem. insert in the plug and fire it up. no cloning dips at all. then i used Thrive Alive B1 at 2.5ml per gal of ro water, keep ph around 5.5 and wait about 8 days or so. after the 8th day we transplanted to soil and 3/4 gal pots for a friend. everyone took none died at any point. if you want any more info let me know.

Just got back from lowes

I think i fuckedup and got a pump to small, its 100-155 gph but the 300 gph one was like $44.95...was i at the wrong store, or didnt look good enough?

I got 8 elbows (90dgrees) 4 are female female, 4 are male male

5 slip T' fittings

4 shrub sprinkler nozzels

4adapters

i know that may not make sense to you, but do I for sure need a bigger pump?

I also need to get the tub, they have 14 gallon and 18 gallon ones,

also do you use the rubbermade container to house the pipes and misters, and as a resevoir for water/nutes, or is there a seperate resevoir?

I think you will need a more powerful pump or the nozzles might just drizzle, at least that's my experience.

yeah i was afraid of that, but all i could remember from the post was that the pump was around 20 bucks, so i got the 20$ one, the 300gph was almost 50, is there somewhere else to get it cheaper? I always get excited about my projects and forget to make lists of exactly what i am supposed to get lol

the one i got was a via aqua va305 315gph from a local hydro store for 20 bucks out the door. really its not gph you want but pressure. the nozzels dont flow that much water but these pumps suck when it comes to pressure so you really got to over do the gph to get it to spray. i looked at high pressure pumps but they really start to get pricey. im planning on building another box 40-50 sites with 500-600gph pump.

I think I see where I went wrong. Nearly all say to go low on the plant. All mine were from the top. I had cut them at a 45 angle, put into rooting powder, put into peat pellets then into a humidity dome. I'd mist them every other day or so depending on how much condensation was collecting on the hood of the dome.
I'm gonna try the RedTails approach and see how things swing. My mother plant is needing some pruning anyway.

Yes I've read Jorge's books and watched lots of video's, but I still hosed it. Maybe I just suck.

Hydroponics systems, gardening equipment, grow lights and plant nutrients at Growco Indoor Garden Supply in Grand Rapids, Michigan (http://www.4hydroponics.com) has 396 gph pumps for under $20. Get the ez cloner spray nozzles, red ones will screw into 1/2" schedule 40 pvc in 11/32 " holes. 2" net pots and now your growin aero. Might not go back to soil! lol. I used to use humidity domes with my aero cloner but by the time they rooted some of the leaves might have yellowed. So I am using Al B. Fuqt's method of not spraying or domes. If they want roots then they will grow them. If you spray and cover them they are not needing to push out roots because you are providing the water to the leaves. Rockwool works well for soil growing or hydro too. Keep checking this site, there is so much info from veteran growers. And when you have some success stick with it to build some confidence. Peace!

If you search there are guys that just make the ez cloner type cloners with the sprayers and in water pump. Its like 60 bucks some guy in NC makes and ships them. Try and search him however its fairly easy to take a Saturday afternoon and " git er done" :)
