Check out this video, "Is America ready to legalize marijuana?"

msnbc.com Video Player (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/35878696#35878696)

Then go to the poll page, Newsvine - Is America ready to legalize marijuana? (http://msnbc.newsvine.com/_question/2010/03/15/4021020-is-america-ready-to-legalize-marijuana-) and cast your vote.

I know a lot of people want marijuana to be legal, but was surprised at the numbers here. According to this MSNBC poll, 98.2% of the voters say YES! Only 1.8% say no.

The push is on. We have the momentum. Keep up the pressure. :hippy:

Note: I posted this else where on the forum. I just wanted to make sure my homies saw this by posting it here too.

I'd have to say yes, that we, as a nation are ready for legalization. Contrary to what that government plant douchebag via"skype" said, it only makes sense. Either spend billions on the prohibition, or make billions on the legalization. :wtf: Personally, I don't think use would increase if it was legalized. Either you ingest or you don't. If they legalized herion, coke, crack, or meth, I ain't about to go score some just because I can. But, what do you expect from a democratic nation? Voting? I don't wanna get to political, but there are way to many things illegal in this country that I don't remember having a vote on. Silly me, I thought this was a country founded for the people, by the people. Pursuit of happiness, right of the people ...to institute new Government. Not to line the politicians pockets. Am I wrong? Nuff said. Like coolslayer says, politics create divides, but I figured this was a somewhat political thread. I say yes. 98.3% with my vote. In some parts of the country, my vote could be counted 3 or 4 times. Especially east of the Mississippi. Anywho  100% for legalization.

It shouldn't even be a medical issue. It should be legal outright. Those that want to blaze it are going to whether it is legal or not. Private prisons make billions in this country imprisoning users,on OUR dime.

And the Skype guy said people were ending up in emergency rooms cause of marijuana. Boy howdy! I didn't know that. I swear I'll never smoke again!

Paaaleeeezeee! Give me a friggen break. Who does he think he is dealing with? A nation full of idots? He has got to come up with an argument one hell of a lot better than that to sway me.

Marijuana AND prescription opiates, alcohol I could believe. Let me debunk the shiznit outta that BS. The ER isn't looking for drugs in blood, too long and expensive of a process. I sure as heck don't see them getting urine out of an ODing person. They'll push that narcon or whatever it is that reverses heroin in a flash for any suspected or obvious od. What a true crock of propaganda BS,a single plant as Flyinghigh said. Thank goodness the majority can see it for what it is!
