So, if weather permits, I really wanna take a fishing trip down in central texas next weekend. Does anyone know if Tx cops will respect my card? I don't exactly plan on coming face to face with any of Tx best, but ya never know what could happen. Any body have any experience or advise on this one?

Texas will prosecute to the full extent of the law. It's better to just keep your MM at home. :D

Let me tell you of something that happened to me in Texas.
One time long long ago, in a galaxy far far away....um...oops! Wrong story.
I was driving through Texas once when the cops pulled me over. When he approached the car, I had my hands on the steering wheel. The reason for this is, I had a loaded gun laying on the front seat. This was perfectly legal, but for his comfort and safety I did that and told him of the gun.
He asked me to get out of the car. Then he took my drivers license and the gun. He unloaded the gun and went back to his patrol car to check me out.
He found I wasn't wanted for anything, so shortly brought my drivers license and gun back. But he didn't give them to me right away. He said I had to wait for a k-9 unit to get there. K-9 unit? WTF?
Well to make a long story short, the dog did find about one hit of bud in the trunk I had forgotten all about. Also they found a peace pipe I had bought at a pow-wow. The pipe had residue in it. Remember the peace pipe, it is important.
Finding these things, he was kind enough to let me throw the peace pipe into the woods, but handed me a ticket for $150 fine, due to the bud. After that he gave me back my drivers license and gun, then I went on my way.
Driving down the road, I did a lot of thinking about what had just happened. Then it dawned on me. It dawned on me that society had just told me;
It's ok to have a fully loaded gun. Ok to have an object of violence. But don't you even think of having any peace pipe or bud. What kind of up side down world have I been born into? Is this really real? Will I ever wake up and find I have been having a nightmare all along?
Sixteen years have passed, and I haven't woke up yet. The nightmare continues. Even so, I do see hope. :rastasmoke:
note: He said he pulled me over because my girl friend wasn't wearing her seat belt.

I wish my parents would have driven 40 miles to Las Cruces to let me enter this world. I would tell you that it matters where you go in the state but right now it matters not,AT ALL. Mexico has put texass LEO"S on full alert and yeah the ignorant mofos will grill you. The don't have a clue as to the difference between brick stick and kinder, trust me. What route are you taking? Remember I-10 has la migra tambien. The only good things from texass are the Dallas Stars and Panphukintera!

No doubt on that one bud, bout 40 miles from my house,Juarez is. We go fishing in Sonora down by Hermosillo. We stay in a valley the whole way that is rich with farms, the most beautiful Quarter Horses, cattle heck I've forgot I was in Mexico sometimes, until the checkpoints. Never had a problem though just an all out good time, don't drink and like I said no smokin either and I still have a blast. I heard the Walleye are biting hard @ Caballo right now and there is always the pre-spawn Bass @ the Butte. Things to consider if you don't want to go to the Lone Star State.I'll be going up myself next week, can't wait for a little get away that's for sure.

:D okay, now I got to tell my Texas story. :rastasmoke:
I'm smoking a bowl in my car at this empty campground by this beautiful lake in the hill country, just minding my own business, thinking how cool this country was all that. I put up the bowl, put down the top (rental car :pimp: ) and get ready to roll on back to San Anton when this psycho bitch old lady from the front gate comes flying up behind me in her car, passes me and the suddenly cuts in front of me, cutting me off all Starsky and Hutch like. :wtf:
She starts babbling off a bunch shite about how I should have checked with her and front gate before even coming on the campsite and all this bullshit. I just looked at her and cracked up, . . that didn't help much, she just got madder. :D I somehow got her calmed down and was able to drive off but damn what a buzz kill. I had load another bowl for the drive back. :smokin:
but, that was a long time ago, I seriously would NOT drive in Texas (or Oklahoma for that matter) with bud.

Damn Bo,sounds like texass. In contrast @ Caballo(NM) I flat out got caught by Rangers while burning a fatty,"permit please" is all I got. They had their eyes on me for 2 days,I was young and kept blazing right in front of em @ the lake and down below the damn. The crazy part is I,we,had no permit! Of course I got one in front of them and had no more problemas. I have no idea why they didn't call the State Police on me especially since this was 10 years ago,no possibility of MMJ. New Mexico rules.
