ok i hvae a very stealthy cab but i have an even nosier mother n law. she stopped by are apartment while we was gone to ""use the bathroom". she also had my 4yr old step daughter with her. we told her not to go into the bedroom cuz the kid would c her easter present. well about a wk later the 4yr old tells her mom "i know theres plants in that tv :eek:. i hurried up n took everything out n showed her that there was nothing there of the sort and asked her what would make her think that. she said her neena opened it up and said "are those plants in there". i wouldnt b so noided but this kid already went to school and told her teacher that her daddy smokes a bong and cps went and talked to her dad and came n even spoke to her mom about it. what the hell should i do ? i have over 5 hundred freshly invested and nowhere else to put them. actually they r in a big screen tv that is as stealth as all can b. my question i guess is if she was to go to school or daycare n tell them that i have plants in a tv (they r only seedlings that she seen) would they just call cps again or would they call the cops? whats my legal rights? please someone help. i know its not good to grow in same house as kids but im just doin a couple af's and have a carbon filter and in my opinion that has no effect on the kid

that was my initial thoughts completely but the thing is with her she only snoops to c what im about. my girl called her and confronted her and she played dumb and said she would never snoop like that. although one weekend she did stay and while we were gone she decided to "reorganize" every single drawer downstairs which led her to find my guerilla growing book and she never spoke a word of it. also my girl told her to keep the conversation to herself b/c the last thing she wants is for one of her family members coming and starting shit over something that was never there ;)
she told my girl she had no reason to tell anyone. she knows if anything is said that we will know its cuz of her and she dont want that b/c my girl is very vindictive. sooo my main concern is the 4yr old girl saying something at daycare or school and what legal actions they would take. i mean what can they do for a 4yr old saying she seen plants in a tv ????

Well this is what they can do.

Storm your house like Nazi storm troopers. Small children are asked all the time and they ack on that info. No where else can you get a warrant from a 4 year old. That's because they don't need one. Child Protection Services says it all.

It's one thing to grow for yourself BUT I would rather just be got for growing rather than child endangerment. When I got busted that's the first charge against me. You would think I was running down the street killing kids or something. My kid never seen anything and that's what he told them. Hell he didn't know I get medicated.

So the first rule has been broken even if not by you.

DON'T TELL ANYONE.

Now you have been compormised. The way I see it you have no choice. Close up shop and clean up well.

Most important is to give NEENA a chance to come back and snoop some more. Let her think you don't know. Then it will all cool down.

Worst part is coming. First grade.
It's like something from Cheech and Chong. Yes kids do your family a favor by getting them off the demon weed. Turn in your Mom or Dad or Uncle even brother. You will be making their life much better.
I had to tell the school if they interrogate my son again lawyers and lawsuits follow.

Better Safe than Sorry.

yo loc, sorry bout your situation, hate to hear that bro but i think i out smarted NEENA and it didnt take much to persuade the 4yr. ya c we gotta couple packs of flowers which recommends to start indoors for the 1st 4-6 wks. we told the kid and FUC*N SNOOPY ASS NEENA that the small barely and visible seedlings were a easter present for the kid n that we were just following the direction on the back of the pack. we told her we figured the tv was perect to start the flowers for our lack of space and since my buddy has the guts to the tv out to try to figure which components need to be replace. so neenea fills bad for ruining her grndaughters easter surprise (especially since the kid was gonna get a new shovel and plant them with mommy on easter ;) ) as for the kid she knows what she saw were her easter flowers. oh and theres a lock on bedroom door now, justified by neens snoopin. sometimes u just gotta think like a god amongst men but still yet may good vibes generate my way :D

Unfortunatly I would have to agree with the closing up shop. The 4 year old is to young and innocent for you to tell her not to say anything bout it. It'll take years for her to get the images out of her head and I'm sure you don"t need to tell you that kids talk!! Due to the prior history with child services already I woiuld give a rest for a lil while.

instead of just closing everything down, I would start gardening lettuce, tomatoes, cooking herbs. so you can keep your finger green. when things cool down, the kid gets a little older. start growing bud again. don't give up on the growing aspect.
even though i grow legally when i have a child i would prob switch to growing veggies, i always think of that cause i spent so much on my equipment and i love growing.
so all you need to do is keep things as they are and just switch seeds (for now...)
Your the one in the family that "loves gardening and has a green thumb". Give your mother in law a tomato every so often. give your kid some sun flowers.

Aloha,

I would think your legal rights depend on weather or not you have a valid MMJ permit. If you are not legal, listen to everybody else here and get rid of them fast.

If you are legal that's another story. You are in the process of producing a legal quanity of medicine. If you are not breaking any laws, though not smart (growing where kids and snoopy Neena can know whats going on) let the cops come. You are doing your best to keep it away from your kid. And if you are legal put a good lock on that door.

come on fellas im not tryn to be niave b/c im extremely paranoid/ extra careful. maybe i didnt explain it good enough but they were in small jiffy pots and most the plants had not even broke surface yet. i dont know if u read my last post but this kid is anticipating and very excited about the early easter present she had found. i mean it makes since right ? that flower packs said 4-6 week indoor start so that was the best spot to keep her from seeing her easter present. we already showed her the packs and theres no way of convincing her now that they r anything but flowers.

Aloha,

Looks like you painted yourself into a corner. Go down to Lowes and get some flower starts, Get rid whats now in your jiffy pots. Put the flower starts into your jiffy pots (and make sure you get the starts on the seed packets)and when Easter comes around help her plant her new flowers outside or in a pot so she can watch them grow and enjoy them over Summer.

That will free up your T.V. for your flowers. Put a big old lock on your door. You will lose a few weeks of growing but your child will be happy and hopefully forget all about your grow. I just hope Neena forgets too. But I doubt it.

get her an easter bunny and she'll forget all about it. or a puppy. give a neena a special brownie, that should chill her out. :D

That one red highlighted bunch of words says a lot. It says your mother-n-law does not respect your privacy. This issue must be dealt with. And don't let anyone say, "You shouldn't have to worry about it if you have nothing to hide". That isn't the point.

I agree with the sentiment that you should lay low for now. After all, the cat's out of the bag. The beans have been spilled. I can't help but to think you wouldn't have this problem if "someone" would have kept their nose where it belongs. Rearranging BAH! Snooping is more like it.

In fact, I would tell her she can't come over till she learns to respect your privacy and your home. The way things are now, she is treating you with no respect at all.
