i have enough room for 6-8 autoflowring plants. could i just buy a big tote and fill it up with potting mix and grow all my plants in there or would it be better to by individual containers ? if so then are the cons to growing them all in a tote major issues or just something that i would have to be a little extra careful about? thanx !!!!!

you want them in seperate pots....otherwise the roots will tangle and fight with eachother.

Roots will tangle and fight for nutriants. One plant will be dominant, use seperate buckets to avoid this.

Using a single tote is much like table grows,so you likely won't have issues.

I prefer to use seperate containers however as it allows for individule plants to be dealt with on thier own.
If you have root problems, they dont spread to all your plants and it allows you to feed and water the plants at different levels if some dont take as much or need more than others.

I'd agree with this. With single pots you can also move them around to get that even canopy.

There's a larger grow logged here with this method your talking about...

Having individual pots in a grow like that ^^ would be a PIA, but with only 6-8 pots, I think the advantages of separate pots outweigh possible problems from using a single container for all.

Oh yeah finn that grow was amazing. I was glad to be able to see it in action.
