I have an appointment tomorrow with the Washington Medical Marijuana Group out of Seattle. I found them online during my search and through the phone conversations I've had with the office staff they seem fine enough. I called the THC Foundation, but they just seem so big and cooperate for what I was looking for.
I am still kinda new to Washington, moving here a year ago, and in the past few months I had decided to get my card due to a hit and run leaving me with nerve damage throughout my left leg and the pain because of it. Looking into getting my card has been an interesting experience with road blocks at every interval. It seems to me there is barely anything written on Washington's Medical Marijuana programs on the internet, or at least from what I've been able to find. This is becoming increasingly frustrating.
As I have found this website the other day I was interested to find a Washington forum with a decent amount of information available through conversations. One thing I noticed was that it seems that the the available co-op, despensery's, etc., only allow certain "group" members. I am not entirely sure if this is completely true, or if I misunderstood the situation. I would suppose in the end I am coming here to try and get information on what people think of the WMMG (Washington Medical Marijuana Group) based on possibly their experiences with them. I live in Seattle, and do not drive, so having a place that is relatively close would be ideal. I have heard through the rumor mill that there is something like a dozen or so places in Downtown Seattle where a patient can get there medication. Does anyone know of these places, by chance?
In the end, I will go through with this appointment tomorrow and plan on getting my medical card, and then I ask you.... Then what?... Where do I go for help for all of this? I just can't seem to find anything about any of it. I'm hoping that after the examination they may have a "Social Worker" of sorts, ready and waiting for me with a pamphlet and a pipe and a list of where to get more- how to learn more.
