Hi thctalk.com im clubberlang and ive been collecting equipment for about a month now its all set up and my cuttings are finally in. Ive got 8 california orange cuttings off a friend of mine so heres what i got to play with.
Budbox 1.2mx1.2mx2m
8 pot wilma system
600w hps
125mm rvk inline fan
100mm cheap outline fan with carbon filter (filter not attached at min)
6" desktop clip on fan (for circulation)
4 line airpump with 4 airstones for added oxygen to nute solution
oil filled radiator for night time to keep my desired temps hopefully
water heater for nute solution (can anyone clarify if this will melt the wilma reservoir tray??)
Wilma pots filled with 50% clay pebbles first then 50% coco on top of that
Nutrients ill be using are:
Canna coco A&B,
Cannazym,
Rhizotonic,
PK 13/14,
Cannaboost and
Superthrive.
Ive also got PH up and down a ph tester and an EC truncheon.
So i figure thats about all i need now lets start a grow diary woohoo my baby girls are finally in. I spent about 4 days before the arrival of the cuttings sorting out temps and stuff kinda a practice run with the lights on ect and got the temps to around 75° and 84° F they went upto 89° but have dropped to 80 now with the door closed so i think it should be fine and ill keep a close eye on it over the next few days.
Day 1
Cuttings have been put into the pots and i installed the drippers which i currently have running for 15 minutes every 3 hours which i reckon was a good starting spot ofter a month of reading diarys ect. Any ideas if im right would be appreciated
Ive got the 600w hps running from 4am to 10 pm then the radiator is gonna take over at night to try and keep ambient temps fingers crossed this works and my babies should be warm and cosy. Now i dunno if i shoulda put the cuttings straight under the 600w but i have moved the light right to the top of the tent so fingers crossed it should be ok any advice is welcome
With regards to the fan i figured ill keep the running 24/7 to help keep temperatures stable but as the tents in my room where me and the wife to be sleep she complained last night about the rvk being to noisy ive since moved it inside the tent so ill see tonight if she thinks it makes a difference if not would it matter tunring the inline fan off whilst we sleep?? (I dont mind as i slept right through but its allways a good idea to keep the missus happy eh fellas hehe)
Ive sorted the reservoir out i put 60ml A&B, 60ml Rhizotonic and 75ml Cannazym also 10 drops of superthrive. My res is about 75 litres and the superthrive says 1 drop per gallon so 10 drops = 50litre?? . Well the EC is 1.0 and my PH is at 5.5 i had a little playing around to get it to that. Now the fella who brought my cuttings said i should hand water for about a week and have an ec of 0.6 but i havent listened so i hope it doesnt bite me in the arse. The cuttings came in rootriot cubes and where nicely rooted so healthy girls a should have If they dont like the EC at 1.0 im sure they'll tell me soo enough.

I cut these leaves myself as they where sitting on the soil and i thought it mightve started rotting due to the watering

Now this one here probably aint gonna make it as the fella who brought em put it into the pot for me just to show me how deep i should put it in ect then as we were chatting about other things my dog bless her little cotton socks pulled it outta the root cube and proceeded to try and eat it lol. So the fellas gonna fetch me another tomorrow.
