It keeps growing.... I need help

so will this plant produce any thc because it keeps growing and the leaves have started to expand more as i do not know if it is a male or female yet. As these are much better quality pics than before and should i bother to continue its life or start over? Is their anything i can do with this guy/girl? also included is a picture of the space i have to work with and the lights as well 2 60w and one 20w so total 140w

congratulations! you have the most stretched out plant i have ever seen. its caused by not enough light and the light isnt close enough to the plant. i would honestly start over if its some bag seed. whats that silly contraption its planted in?

Cigarette42 is absolutely right, its stretched badly. It can be saved, and if you want to save it, the first thing I would do is take a string and tie it to the top of the plant and slowly bend it over as much as you can without breaking the stem. See if you can bend it so its almost an upside down "U". Then take your lights and get them within 3 or 4 inches to what is now the top. ....and then get a proper light, or at least more light.

Like I said I'm not trying to be an ass but you need to atleast read the basics and from what I can see you kinda threw a seed in, it sprouted and now your looking for people online to answer all your questions because you didnt read anything. I say cut HIM down and smoke HIM (if you think sticks and leaves are good smoke!).

It's painfully obvious this person has read very little about growing. So I'll give some advise.

First, plant a seed however you did it before. BUT put it in soil, not a cat auto waterer.

Then get your CFL bulbs within 2-3 inches of the top of the leaves (adjust as needed (best is bulbs with a 6500K rating)).

Grow the plant for a month or so, adding as many CFL lights as you can during the growing (veg) period.

Once they are as big as you want. Give them 12 hours of light and 12 hours of DARK. (this makes the plant make buds). It's best to switch all your 6500K bulbs to 2100K CFLs at this point, Buds need RED light, Growing needs more blue light.

AFTER 8-12 WEEKS of 12/12, You'll have buds ready to harvest. THEN and only THEN will you have product full of THC.:thumbsup:

Total amount of time needed to make a large THC coated bud-y plant,... 16 weeks from a seed. Assuming you don't do something odd like flower that thing you've already grown AS IS.

So, stop asking if your stick with two leaves has THC! :D

Figured sence reading isn't likely going to happen overnight (but could :D) I could post some pics.

First is my seedling under three 23w (60w equ?) CFLs. (one-ish weeks)

Second is AFTER adding two shop lights, FOUR more CFLs and still having the three CFLs I started with. PLUS I had direct sun light. (About one month of VEG) This is where I started bending the plant (LST).

Third is the same plant (more tied back) after 10 more days of VEG.

Fourth is the same plant LAST WEEK! with ONE week of flower.

Last pic is Yesterday! Those fuzzy balls on the tops of the branches,... THOSE are buds with THC. However they will not be ready for another 6-8 weeks!

I don't think anyone's hijacking here, Vancefish is showing you what your plant should look like...

Your growing device will not grow cannabis. PERIOD. You'll need dixie cups to start in, 1-2 gallon pots to replant in, and 3-5 gallon pots to finish in. Try out soil first, then switch to hydro/coco once you get the hang of things. And only 1 plant per container.

You need to do a lot of reading if you really want to produce something smokeable. You have already received a lot of good tips and information here, yet no responses from you as to whether you're actually taking anyone's advice. Did you lower the lights? Did you get more lights? Are you willing to dish out a few hundred bucks and spend hours upon hours of reading how to grow cannabis? If the answer is no to any of these, then you are just wasting people's time here.

the color may look good but what ever feeds that system isnt designed to flower cannabis. during flowering stage cannabis needs a different ratio of nutrients which that thing cannot provide. it can maybe only provide vegetative plants and thats it. if you really think your set up is good, run with it and waste your time, not ours....

I second the question .... how old are you?? My opionon is your a young kid trying to grow something in your bedroom without mom and pops finding out. You won't listen to what everyone is trying to tell you. You have been told numerous times that your setup will NOT work correctly for what you want. I can understand the problem of cash being tight but how much did that "hydro" unit of your cost? Give me a bucket, air pump and couple of air stones and your in business for under $20!! You are not even close when it comes to light, don't get me wrong you can grow with cfl's but not when they are 2 ft away from the stick (sorry I mean plant). Here is my last bit of advice and you can do whatever you want with it, get a couple more years under you, move outa mom and pops house and get apt or something (that way mom and pop dont get in trouble when you tell all your friends and LEO comes knocking), save up some cash to get correct equipment (E-bay or Craigslist is good place to start), and READ READ READ!!!!!! Read every sticky on this site then search the type of growing you plan on doing and read that. When your done reading go back and read the basic stuff 1 or 2 more times! Again I must apologize if I am coming off as an ass but enough is enough. Trash the stick my clones are bigger and healthier than that! :wtf:

You asked about LST, AND you asked about CFLs. SO, I answered with a post telling you EXACTLY how to fix YOUR problem. I even posted pics for YOU to see what can be done. I gave you a link to my first grow to get MORE information on what YOU asked.

My opinion is,... Do what you want! Grow a 5 foot two leaf stick for all I care.

Hope it IS a He as you so fondly keep calling it. Your not to far from it falling over dead ALL on it's own anyway. All it needs is a little more stretch, maybe when it gets a bit taller MAYBE grows an extra set of leaves. Then that sand your in won't hold the weight.... FLUMP... DEAD!

No one said you needed a grow room. Many people have a grow BOX.

Look in grow logs. In there you can see a thread called tiny DWC. THAT guy is growing hydroponic in a COMPUTER CASE!

He however read a LOT! He's using CFLs that are CLOSE to the plant, not 3-5 feet away.

HOWEVER! Is it really worth loosing you college education over this? If you were to get a plant up to flower. It will smell a LOT! Your dorm supervisor will surely catch you once that smell picks up!

I say drop it! Kill that twig and throw it away a couple blocks down the street before it cost you everything.

your set up wont work, period. You will not even get enough leaf to roll a joint with, let alone feel a buzz.

Get a plastic pot , some good soil, and get some lights that are adequate(no house lamps, get a MH, HPS, CFL's, T5's or something)

You should only half too water couple of days. How much more "Auto Feed" do you need than watering twice a week?

This site has most of the resources you need to get a good stealth grow going but you need to read, read, read.... I would definatly not be growing in a dorm room; Once your plant gets big enough to even start budding it will smell potent. Why get kicked out or have your stuff stolen for doing a half ass grow. Not worth it the pot you will get.

either invest some $$$, read a lot, or go back to buyin.

You mention you grew it under 6500K lighting, but no mention of wattage.

You say your currently flowering under 2 65w. This is REALLY WEAK LIGHTING! Weak lighting can slow progress.

You mention nothing of your dark space. Is this in a closet? Might there be any light leaks during the night cycle?

You might want to start your own thread, because this one is not even on the subject your asking about.

Im not gonna come in and be any more of an ass than everyone else lol even though you deserve it jamesbud420, but I will say something for you, Google is a powerful, I mean powerful tool my friends. you can literally find millions of articles on each individual stage throughout a cannabis plants life, and then millions more on each of the tiny random things tht could ever possibly go wrong with it. But since everyone here has told you that, over and over, try this. go to Wal Mart (this is for the simplest dorm grow ever) get two 2ft 6500 k fourescent tube fixters and a couple of 26W CFL's, take a solo cup, fill with good soil, plant seed, if it sprouts, grow it, you can place flourescent bulbs like 2 or 3 inchs away from plant, a reading lamp is nt a grow lamp. once it gets the size you want it, go by some 2700 k cfls, throw em where the other ones were flower that bitch, oh yeah (that meas putting it under 12/12 light cycle) and it will turn out 10 billion times better than what you have here. This is like a 50 dallar investment, and even then youll prolly only get a half O at the most, but at least you can lose your virginity , ( and what your doing now, you still have your virginity, your first grow is like a bad sex story gone wrong, like way wrong. good luck, and man you guys made me crack up through this entire forum lol college come on kid, you need to drop out and go to common sense school

Allright...this thread is awesome. I love that this guy is all worried about getting in trouble (DUDE...you are growing this plant on your nightstand...Your RA will spot it walking down the hallway...moron).

And, yes...I work with the younger generation...and they are THIS STUPID. I see people getting fired from a great Union job that pays them 60-70K per year for theft and not showing up to work. And they complain when they have to actually work. :wtf::wtf::wtf:

I gotta wonder...Maybe we should stop coddling them and treat them the way we were...like shit! It made is tougher and prepared us for the world. My dad used to threaten to take me out...and make one better. I think we are protecting these little punks sooo much that we are not letting natural selection take its course.
