I see these small white like gnats or something. I squish as many as i see and today is the first signs of them. What can i do to get rid of these? I heard lady bugs worked. Has anyone heard of this????
here is a pic of how small they are. Not really clear though.

Get a spray bottle, fill it with water and 2-3 drops of dish liquid. spray your plants and the top of the soil just when you turn off your lights. they'll be gone.

white fly? what is it? do they fly?
I think kuulbns remedy sounds good... soap works wonders.. but I am going to guess it is only a temperary solution and your grow area will need to be totaly cleaned or NUKED... : )

I would say fungal gnats. The best stuff is gnatrol here is the number for their company. Give them a call and find a distributor in your area or order some over the Internet. They are more of a nuisance then a problem but getting rid of them is always a good thing. The larva lives in your soil and every time you water they only feed more. They do eat roots but I have yet to ever have them hurt any of my plants. I just don't like the idea of bugs in my rooms.

keeping the surface drier will keep maggots away w/o chems too.
