Interesting. I have herniated disks and have pain all the time in my back and legs. I have not felt comfortable talking to my Dr. about MMJ for a variety of reasons. This place seems legit as long as you have a qualifying problem. Does anyone have any more info??

Gave them a call for an appointment, they want 3 months of Dr's chart notes about your ailment. A long way from a walk-in service but a greatly needed resource in RI.

Yea, the doctor who mostly treated me for my back got busted and closed down. I have been calling his house for the last 2 days trying to get my records and Dr. notes. He does not answer and won't call me back. WTF.
BTW, in order for this to work all out legally, it CAN'T be "walk-in service". It is the people who are not truly sick or in pain (and finagle the system) that can potentially ruin it for those who are.

I was on the THCF website but did not write down the info for the RI clinic and today I am unable to access the THCF site.
I have suffered from chronic pain for 10 years and was going to make appointment with THCF clinic tomorrow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

I recently sent my medical records to THCF and have been approved for a clinic appointment.
Unfortunately no one I have spoken with at THCF can tell me when a clinic in RI will be scheduled.
I have chronic pain but my doctor is unwilling to get involved with medical cannabis.
If anyone can help me find a compassionate doctor or can get me more information regarding THCF clinics in RI it would be greatly appreciated.

I talked to a guy named Dave form THCF today. Apparently they have a Dr. already and should be able to start seeing patients at the end of June. I would like to believe this although Dave definitely did not make me feel assured this was definite. If anyone can recommend a GI doctor or pain specialist please email me at
[email protected] if not I guess I will have to keep my fingers crossed for late June

Hi, I called them today, spoke to Dave. He said they have 65 patients on the call back list for RI. The Dr. will come for a 3 day clinic once they have around 150 patients that are registered for appointments. He didn't say but it looks like it may take time unless they get more of a response. If you are even thinking about it and don't know if you qualify please give them a call.
I'm faxing over my last 4 Dr. visit notes today I hope. I have neuropathy in both my left leg and left arm. If it takes much longer I may give a local Neurologist a call to set up an appointment. I am a Veteran and have been visiting the VA Hospital here in Providence for the last 10 years. They don't recommend MMJ and my current Dr. is unable to assist due to the conflict of interest. If there are any patients that see a compassionate neurologist send me a PM or message! thanks...

i have spoken with thcf fairly recently and i was told that they needed approx 30 people and have in the 20's at this point. I pray what i heard is true as opposed to needing 85 more people to enroll. I have been speaking with them and have been approved for an appointment since april and it was supposed to be here the end of june then the end of july and now its the end of august. if anyone has heard this or different your input would be appreciated. :rasta:

I know that's a long time to wait. In the mean time I'm making a few appointments with a neurologist and a pain clinic that a friend / caretaker recommended. I'll keep everyone posted on how it works out for me.

They have a lot of information on their website about what to expect at the appointment. It should be expected that you would have to provide documentation. They are not primary care providers: this is just a recommendation, not a prescription.
I would like to know from anyone who has been what the cost is; you can PM me, thanks.
They are having an Open House on the 11th of Sept called "HempStalk" featuring reggae music. Hopefully bringing more kush to New England will ease the up-tight and whiney vibe...:hippy:

PLEASE HELP! In need of a compasionate mmj Dr. I suffer from disk herniations in L4 and 5 which are torn and L3-4 bulging but not burst like in 4/5. 4-5 s-1 sciatica shooting pain 24/7 from lower back to ankle. Heres my problem... I was in the accident back in 1996' and did about 3 years of treatment. Phys ther. , traxion , 2 seperate nerve blocks with cortizone , second mri a year later showing no improvement and every pill under the sun... felt like a drugstore. I had spent more of my own money on anything and everything possible to alleviate the pain with no results. Walking is/was the worst in terms of pain increasing , and sitting just wasnt happening in terms of finding a comfortable position... occassional falling etc. due to nerve damage or pushing on nerve making me lose strength/balance... ok so I wont bore you anymore, you get my point if you know what pain does to your mind and body and wellbeing you understand my post and why im here today asking for help.... as a last ditch effort or another attempted effort rather... to reduce my pain and cope with everything I tried mj and... I SLEPT, I MEAN SLEPT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS... pain deminished to being tolerable. in days to come etc etc etc. you know the rest. So here I am... drug free, no more uppers downers and all arounders that they were so willing to give me... Anti inflaMatories and pain pills WHAT A JOKE! So here I am 2011 and am trying to find a Dr. to help me with my documented debilitating injury. I have a file filled with all my medical stuff... mri notes and findings ... initial one showing tear in L4 and 5 and bulging in 3-4... electro something showing weakness in motoring skills or something... also have all my lawyers notes and demand letters showing my permanent injuries etc... But this was from a period of say 1996 through 1999 roughly... Im sorry for such a long boring post but somebody must know something.. I have no recent history... no medical... no money and have looked and looked on where to go or what to do... one dr. went out of business and then ive been lead down many wrong avenues. I have no problem finding a money for a consultatin if needed to pay but I could never afford at this point medical or another mri etc. Once my case was settled with the lawyers back in 98/99 I had to sign off on any future medical ( what a mistake)... Id take life long medical for my injury before Id settle anything. So here I am asking for help laying it all out there fr the first time. PLEASE help. Whatever it takes legaly to be legal. Thank you.
