I have a drug test (via Labcorp) coming up in 3 days for a potential new job. The last time I smoked was 20 days ago. Ive been drinking lots of water and working out. Took an at home test last night and it was a fail. I was a daily smoker for more than 5 years and I am about 20lbs overweight - slow metabolism (although I have lost 8 lbs since I quit smoking). Any suggestions on how I can pass the test? I was thinking about going to GNC and getting one of those detox drinks, but I have heard they are just a waste of money and you are better off drinking massive amounts of water. Please help!

Read the dilution sticky or substitute since drinking lots of water won't speed the THC out of your system. A detox drink will certainly do nothing but waste your hard earned money that you could and should be spending on creatine powder instead.

You can also add some soluble fiber(metamucil) to your diet to help excrete some THC metabolites through your colon. Its too late to start exercising and as Webdox stated, drinking tons of water will not help to flush you out. Your limited on time so I would look into substituting.

Do they watch you pee when you take these tests...I dont look like a stoner so I dont think they would be suspicious of me trying to sub.

so after reading more posts on here, I am wondering if I actually did fail the at home test. I originally thought it was a fail because the line was very very very faint, but a lot of posts are saying if you see a line, no matter how faint, that its a pass. I used 2 different brands of at home tests, both producing that very faint pink line. If the line is faint, do you think the levels at LabCorp will be low enough to pass??

There is no meaning attributed to the intensity of a line. A faint line still counts as a negative.

If this is a pre-employment UA then you will not be observed. Concealing the sample is very simple and if you can maintain temperature then you have nothing to fear.

If your passing a home test kit you might want to do a light dilution and save yourself the extra money.
