i know theres a fair few people from UK and US on the site, so i thought we could compare the places, weed-wide.

for example, in my area, dealers never offer you a different strain, and they never say shit like "hey you want some bomb ass dro" you just ask for the weed and you get whatever they have going. However in america then it seems like theres a much bigger choice between mids, regs, and strains etc.

I get just "weed." I don't know anything about it other than it (kind of) works. I don't get any real choice (but then again I don't use "real" dealers.)

Yeah im from the UK and its pretty much the same for me, my dealer wont usually tell me what strain im getting and if i ask he wont know very often.
Only time i know what im smoking is if its mine or i know the grower, personally i dont give a shit anyway as long as its decent green.

I guess it depends where you are in the US. Shitty weed is easy to get. But as for a wide selection of strains, well that depends also, but I think you will find that the majority of the time it is the same as the UK. Dealers just sell what they have and they don't really know too much onformation on what they are selling. Hell, most don't know shit about cannabis. If you have a wide variety of strains to choose from you definately have the hookup, but that is pretty rare. :)

Changes, we never know what it is strain wise unless we grow it ourselves. The dealers rarely know either, but will be able to tell you if its as good as/better than last time.

Someone put it to me recently that the markets dictated it. 10 years ago you got nothing but solids, then semi decent weed and occasionally something like skunk. Now its all skunk-type stuff. To be honest, I suspect most dealers are growing it, and its no longer imported.

irelands gotten a lot better recently too, althought i dont live there anymore, a few years ago it was all soapbar and brickweed, now u can get skunk , pollen, black hash, oil, whatever takes ur fancy, although the skunk in the uk is better

But as far as the weed goes, there's almost always dank around here, so there's no room in the market for soapbar. You'd get laughed out of the business trying to push that stuff here.

One reason (among many) why I abandoned dealers and started growing; people who sell things can't resist "hype" and weed snobs used to abound, in the circles I traveled in. Typically Yuppie.

Like, to me, a car is a thing with about 4 wheels that gets you places, reefer is "stuff that gets you stoned", some fancy name or endorsements from members of Hermans' Vermin don't impress me much

I usually always have a choice.... Weed is really good here... I got dro today... but usually I can choose between dank or schwagg... and occationally mid-grade... though it's a rarity. If you know the right dealers then you can get the best bud available.... The dro I got today is the best weed I've ever smoked in my life... I'm happy i went with that over schwagg...

I've got about four people i can get it from and appart from one where it's nearly always dryer coz it's stored longer it's all usually the same, i fond you get more varyation in solids though (UK)

Mighty fine lookin bud ya got there ! I'm jealous ! lol Around these here parts,usually the only choice ya got,is mexican or skunk,and yer lucky to git that much choice..the mex goes for 25$ a 1/4 and the skunk,for 5$ more..the fellers around Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex,sell different kinds of hydro,at 20$ a gram ! For that much money,I can afford to grow my own ! lol For that much money,ya should git a grow report,complete with parentage,ferts..etc...lol.

Back in the late '70's or early '80's..I was over in Fort Worth,to git some weed and the folks I was visiting with,called up their dealer and he showed up with a briefcase filled with 11 different varieties of weed and 3 different kinds of hash..Lordy ! I was about ready to rob a bank..I was helpless to git any of the good stuff,didn't have the money for it..if only I could find another of them 'briefcase' dealers !

my deals are generaly the same. each deal carries a strain fairly regularly. so there is variety. but you got to know the people. slowly my hook up start to increase.

Whats soapbar weed, never heard of it.

its not weed its a form of hash.

Generally less than 10% THC the rest is stems, leaves, etc ground up to a fine powder. Turps, honey, wax, are just some of the other bulking agents used. You do get an effect off it, but its not a thc induced one. I describe a soapbar high as a 'mong'

they hunt down all outdoor crops with so much money and time the state gets funded by the feds to harrass the growers
the lucky ones dont need to buy any and grow a few plants to harvest

Around here (Connecticut) there's just droves of rich white kids who get the amazing weed. I'm happy (and a bit smug) to say that I have no choice--it's amazing or nothing at all.

Well, you can get regs, but for the price of shwag elsewhere.

In my area last year prices went from $20 a gram for 'Hydro' or 'Haze' to $15 for 'KB'. The hydro/haze was green and sticky while the KB was lighter green with orange-red hairs and smelled nutty. Then there was some decent dry mids for $5 a gram a while.
Prices dropped and hydro, haze, mids such names were eradicated so now there is only what people are still calling 'kb' for $240 an ounce. Sometimes I get better shit, sometimes its just alright but no matter it is always the same price.

That is a nice fucking stash nullific.

I get some choice, it's either res (nasty ass stuff), bush or skunk, skunk bein grade A stuff. Nobody ever knows the strain though. I don't care to be honest, if it smells sweet and makes my mouth water then it gets bought.

I get a choice between 2 different strains from my dealer, but I think he's getting another one soon, so yeah, I get a choice :)

But now I'm using Budmail for half of my weed-needs and there you got a plethora of choice, so it's all good

P.S.: If you're ordering form budmail anytime soon, make to take some Jamaican Sugar... Best smelling weed I've ever had, and kicks like a mule :D
