Depends on their wattage and lumen output. Aim more for, how many lumens do I need ? Around 11,000 so you need to get as many bulbs that reach that figure ( and maybe a couple extra) doesnt hurt.

CFL lighting in my opinion is great for many reasons i wont go into here. But what you have to watch for is light pent. For this reason id recommend using 6+ 26w bulbs and mixing the locations of the light. Meaning surrounding your plant with the bulbs will provide better results then just shining from above. Hope that helps

I have 14 bulbs for 2 plants on my grow. I am using a mix of blue and red spectrum bulbs and have added more red now that I am flowering. I would just suggest putting as many as you can fit in/around your space. I have my bulbs about 2" away from the plants and they seem to be doing okay.

The other suggestions are right on the money!

Hope it helps!

I don't use CFL's but I'm sure you can find a better reflector/hood than that. the design is crap for reflecting light to where you need it.

That should be good enough lighting to get you through the grow. Reflectors will help out alot as well, directing more light towards the plant.

I am assuming those orange buckets are 5 gallon. You may have issues with your soil staying wet. I would suggest not using over a 3 gal unless you have huuuuuuge plants...
