My son has been playing it for about a month off and on he is nearly through it and knows how to play the songs and everything i cant believe it as i played it when it first came out before he was born and between me and his father we did not get through the game.Hes got heaps far i cant believe that he is 4 and has almost finished it i think but i dont really know how because he wouldnt be able to read the writing to know what he has to do next.Is he gonna be a nerd ???? or is it just the age we live in ???? it kinda worries me that he wants to play it all the time.Whats so special about it ? he has xbox games like simpsons, hulk, incredibles and spiderman but never wants to play them just Zelda. Is it a male thing or what ???
Ocarina of Time(or whatever its called) lol. That game is a classic. I was in the 8th grade when that game came out, it's all I ever did really. Plus, playin vidyyya games doesn't make you a nerd........or at least I hope so.

thats cool but there should be a limit maybe ???? at his age i mean?? but i do let him play a bit because he has no kids around and i guess if he has nobody to play with he needs something to do i just wish he would go outside and catch some bugs or lizards or something

Nothing wrong with the game at all.. it came out when I was a freshman in high school and is considered a classic by many. As far as your son goes, you're just gonna have to keep encouraging him with other activities but don't make him stop playing video games. And about the nerd part, that's up to them.

The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time is my favorite game that i have ever played. That horse (epona) is so awesome. I love all the ocarina songs also, that game has an amazing musical score. I completed that game like all the way except i only got like 90 skulltullas, i just got bored. Lol it's funny when you go to the fishing place and steal the guys hat with your fishing pole. Don't worry about him being a nerd lol, even if he turns out to be why would that matter? Once he completes the game then he'll be more willing to do other things but just let him play that game if he enjoys it. Has he completed the water temple yet? That temple really sucks.

I agree, and the worst thing in that temple is the small trap door behind the longshot chest. God it took me forever to find that.
I have played it through about 6 times, and have completed it 100% ( all skultullas, items, bottles, secrets, all grottos) I even got a perfect score, all bulls eyes on the horseback archery thing. Thats the biggest challenge in the game.

kicik ass, let him play the videogames. Start em off early. The next generation of children will be prized for their intellectual capacity, so nerdy children are good, you are setting them up for future lives filled with success and beautiful pornstar women.

Hell yeah I remember this game. I still play it every year or 2 on my PC. The new Zelda (coming out end of this year) is supposed to be a lot like it. Maybe even better... Unlike the craptastic WindWaker...
Don't worry about the nerd issue, jac. I was a video game fiend when I was growing up, and so were a few of my friends, but we don't know calculus, and we never got beat up in school. Like west coast style said: the nerd part is up to him. Video games won't make him that way. That train of thought is as asinine as the moronic parents who blame music and television for the bad things kids do...
Just let him have his fun. Like you said, he's only 4. And as of right now, it's not hurting anything at all. Besides, video games will help him develop good hand-eye coordination. Seriously.

Hey Cleve havent seen you in Bf1942 lately :( , I can't believe I ran into you that one time. (I was the guy asking "hey cleve do you post on cannabis.com boards under that name? and then responding when you said yes "Hey man I post as weirdo on that board"), That was kind of freaky for me.

The new zelda is going to be kick-ass. You wont be a kid in it, an ault the whole game. Alot more emphasis on sword fighting. It will be alot more mature and dark of a storyline, with (supposedly) no freakin' tinkle or any other gay characters.

classick game indeed. The games we grew up on are wayyyy different then the games kids these days grow up on, ps2 xbox etc. I remember thy attari :D My friends kids are 10 and 11 and they fuckin smoke us sometimes on games (and i like to think of myself as a good gamer). But of course they ain't got shit on us after some hot knifez :)

As for those other games you listed, it's simple. Zelda is better than all of them. And besides, your kid is 4. He should be starting school soon and he'll have plenty of time to interact with other children.

Man that's hard to believe that he can complete an action RPG with puzzle elements at the age of 4. That game challenges 30 year old nerds. Maybe he's just walking around and he is at places that you never explored? But yeah the Zelda series is great. My favorite title was A Link to the Past. Anyone excited about The new one coming out in November The Twilight Princess? I can't wait!

*geeky voice*
what's so special about it?! besides the fact that it's one of the greatest games ever made!! duh!! the ocarina of time and majora's mask were the two best zelda games in existence...until later this year of course when the zelda for the gamecube comes out - which will be pretty fucking righteous if i do say so myself. for all you zelda fans, be on the look out this november for the new game. i know i've been in love with the game ever since i was a wee little young'n and i'll continue to play the series as long as nintendo keeps pushing them out.
do not keep the young one from zelda. i repeat, do not keep the young one from zelda. in my humble opinion, the legend of zelda is the best game he has right now.
