I'm looking for a simple way to have a satellite res in another location in my room which is 20 degrees cooler. I figure this will bring down the temperature of the whole system by about 5 or so degrees.

I'm looking for good answers, and simple. I think I may be onto something and I'm checking the informational awareness of this cannabis community.

Thanks.

Connect 2 reservoirs with 1 hose, and form a siphon. when the waterline of 1 res goes down, the second res will fill it, and vice versa. this can be good for mixing nutes or adjusting ph over a period time as well. the 2 res's mix when their water levels change, so there is diffusion.

wondering what you all thought about this, I can lay it out in a diagram as well.

I like the idea.

Would each resevoir need a 'sump' of some kind to prevent breaking the siphon?

Or would you simply make sure the tables drain back well before the water level drops too low?

gotta make sure tubes are at least 1" underwater at all times and no break of syphon can occur.

Can you send me your Layout of the 2 resorvoirs and how you set them up? Im interested on maybe utilizing your concept. Thanks

Sorry it took so long did'nt see reply

just gotta get water in there and pinch it with finger, then open it when ends are down in both containers at same time. if you use a clear tube it will be easier....

I am using a sump system now for my Romaurie Effect Drive. It has a self cleaning feature which picks up sediment in a container, I then empty this out..
