new grower light cycle question

i am starting to experiment with my first grow and just playing around with a cheap grow and florescent lights. how much light should i give my plants? i read someplace let the lights be on 24/7 for the first 2 weeks then cut back 18/6. my plants are about 2-3 inches tall now and have been growing for 5 days. thanks a ton

You can do either, but whatever you choose stay above 18hrs of light for veg stage.

how tall should my plants be while using a floro before i switch from 24/7 to 18/6? or do i just wait to 12/12?

24/7 to 18\6 just saves electricity and a little growth.

i would go stright to 12/12 @ 9 inches or a foot.
